Much like Moyles, I love journalists - especially showbiz reporters from tabloid newspapers. We all know that the Newsbeat hacks get their news from teletext, but now it's not just them. For the past few months I have noticed that every Monday morning Showbiz collumns in tabloid newspapers have reused Jamie Theakston's stories from his Sunday show. One instance that springs to mind is his Jennifer Lopez story (where he was pushed away in the corridor by her bodyguards) which was presented as an "Exclusive" in the 3 absolute mingers collumn. They have done this a few times.
A couple of minutes ago, I notice an email in my inbox (I have Ananova Big Brother alerting setup).
Chris Moyles disappointed by Penny's eviction (http://www.ananova.com/entertainment/st ... 21661.html)
So let me get this straight, they listened to his show, wrote down what they heard and made an article out of it. And this crap passes for journalism! How lazy is that? This is an opinion Chris Moyles has held for about a week - he has repeated it every day on his show and when he was on the Big Breakfast. If people wanted to hear his opinions - they would have listened to his show - not read some crappy news web site. The whole of the Big Brother 'reporting' is nicked from either TV, the Official Big Brother site or the newspapers - so whats the point!!
the_dr
P.S. I know the whole of fleet street is built on plaugarism - but this takes the **** .
