although i have not met them like you clare i do reckon they are different away from the mic. Dave was really different on liquid news (see: LIQUID NEWS thread) and he even spoke differently.

The reason he spoke differnetly is because when on the radio their voices go through a compressor, which stops them from peaking (Going to high) when talkin, also they have a backin music which makes the compressor work harder

Theres some voices you would recognize anywhere, moyles being one of them.  Dave is another, John Peel, Radcliffe.  Even on TV.  I thought Dave sounded the same on LN

Last night he sounded sophsticated! His voice on the cm show just makes people laugh with the mis prononciation of words etc etc etc etc  :) wonder if the peperami will read this... see what i mean?<P>Cheers<P>Mike
