Okay, before I start I just want to make it clear that I am a Moyles fan and want him to be good/funny/entertaining, and also, this isn't meant to drag up the Moyles versus Mark and Lard debate. However, he seems to be having a really, really bad week, or couple of weeks. He seems to be struggling to fill links, milking features which just aren't funny anymore (Millionaire, Weakest Link) and not doing anything original. And when are they going to drop The Not!? He reads through the papers picking out random stories (although, today's were relevant for once) just to waste time. I personally think that the show and Moyles is at its best when he interacts with the listeners, be it through competitions (viaduct) or just random calls, and when they chat more spontaneously in the studio. Being a fan of Jon Culshaw, I also think that they need to make more use of him on Fridays - his presence is, after all, what makes the Friday show different. The Saturday show is usually quite good, it seems to have more structure and better features to give it a 'back bone'. Basically, I think that he's struggling like hell to fill the extra hour and not making any effort to correct the balance. That's it really, sorry for the long posting. I don't think your growing out of Moyles, I just think, as you say, he is having a bad week.  Lets hope he picks himself up soon.  And your right, he does need more features.  What ever happened to secret squirrel and whos in the dog house?  They ware genies, better than girls going to football, which is worse than The Not.

I think one thing he lacks, is guests, I think if he had guests, the possibilities on what he could do would be so much more, special one off features would work better, and appear more funny with different guests.<P>Although he has got new features, I still don't think they're great, Careoke is a laugh, but it's still not something you really look forward to in advance if you know what I mean.<P>Didn't he say once, he doesn't do things people suggest because if he did people would accuse him of stealing material or something? Or was that someone else?

probably to do with unsolicited mail. no comedian or DJ is allowed to open unsolicited mail or reply to e-mails coz they may get sued if they use the idea.<P>i will stick up for chris. i think the next amazing feature will arrive soon and it will restore the show. he's probably thinking like mad about it. once he realised secret squirrel etc. were not that good he kinda dropped them. more guests is a good idea i think he should get chicken shi.t dermot o'leary back and confront the wussy.

Since I come back from holiday, I've notice Chris has been dogs mess - I usually listen to every minute of the show even if it means recording... But now I dont seem to care, hes using the same material over and over again. For instance he likes to go into a song, news or jingle on a funny but he just cant think of a liner and uses the same... I agree with Guess, the show is becoming a bit staid. The extra hour has put alot of pressure on Chris and the gang. Go back to 2 hrs is what I say.<P>Respeck in da area.
