other that Yellow by coldplay, I wouldn't say any of them stand out as really memroable classics, unlike Oasis where a lot of their songs you hear and think "This is an utter classic" and will probably be like that for years to come. But thats my opinion.

I agree with most of that but I think that Clocks goes down as a classic as well

I don't even like Yellow. I think Clocks and Trouble are by far the best Coldplay songs. Yet if you look at Oasis, it's hard not to like their songs. Morning Glory doesn't have 1 bad track on it.

The Scientist is much more of a classic than Clocks.

Who cares... coldplay have had their 15 minutes. I think they should have called it a day after Yellow, because now they are just taking the public for a radiohead ride

No it's fairly easy to not like them, it's the grateing awful singing thats wrecks everysong, much the same with RadioHead, they sound fine till Tom sings.

Clocks did my head in, it got so much airplay. I agree that The Scientist was a good song, the only good track on the album. However, I dont think it will ever be known as a classic in music terms.

Yes, it's not up there with great songs like John Lennon's Imagine or anything (well in my opinion, each to their own). It's a lot better than Clocks on a musical and lyrical level in my humble opinion.

I love Coldplay, but they have hinted that they might call it a day soon apparently.

On a serious note..ever been to their website? It's quite humurous, a little page with pics of fans who miss them greatly, I feel some of you would fit right there.
