In a way to boost this place, ive decided to do a football thread and give my predictions of the coming weeks fixtures so you can laugh as i get them totally wrong. ok here goes
Arsenal 1 - 0 Everton
Cant see a repeat victory for Everton, no Rooney so no out and out matchwinner. I can sense this one being a tight affair with Arsenal getting a lucky penalty despatched by Henry.
Chelsea 2 - 0 Liverpool
Like Mr Pearce said, it doesnt really matter about gelling, if youve good players, youve good players. Strikers will get good delivery and Duff will be a nightmare for the defenders. I forsee a Duff debut goal along with Gudjohnson.
Leeds 0 - 4 Newcastle
I just cant see Leeds surviving this. Old boys Woodgate and Bowyer will be jeered but that will just make them stronger. I see a Shearer double, a cheeky Bowyer goal and a tap in for Bellamy.
Birmingham 1 - 1 Spurs
Birmingham will win in midfield with new signing Dunn but Spurs will score early on only to let it slip away in the second half. Stern John and Robbie Keane on the scoresheet.
Blackburn 1 - 2 Wolves
Wolves arrive back in style with a win but they will have to wait for another 3 points. Yorke to score with second half strikes by Iversen and Rae
Man Utd 2 - 0 Bolton
Always a hard team to beat Bolton with Ruud scoring early but will have to wait until the last quarter to finally seal victory from a goal by Giggs.
Fulham 2 - 2 Middlesborough
Boro were hopeless away from home last season but then again Fulham have made no key signings and Sean Davis wants to go. This will be a game littered with schoolboy errors and mistakes. Even though theres 4 goals, it wont be exciting. Fulham will get an Ehigou OG and a Saha while Boro will reply with Greening and Christie.
Charlton 0 - 0 Man City
Dour dull game with few chances and a sub appearance by di canio hitting the closest shot
Portsmouth 3 - 1 Villa
Good old Pompey will beat dull Villa. I sense a good day all round for the premiership newcomers with goals by Sheringham, Stone and Berger free kick with a last minute consolation from
Leic
