This is for people who record the show.

Which sound editors do you use to edit clips? I have looked on the internet, but haven't found a good one.

I particually want one, where you can fade the sound and merge media files together.

Cool Edit is extremly good and used by many radio stations... although it can be expensive.

you can dl cool edit off kazaa.

i have that but cant be arsed to learn how to use it so i just use wavelab which i find much easier for simple editing things. you can also use wavelab to record onto and then merge etc.

Cool Edit is a peace of piss once you know how to use it - which doesnt take that long to learn. It makes very good edits, very easily.

Agreed. Like most software packages it just takes time to learn and then you get to know the advanced features!

I have Sound Forge version 5 and Cool Edit Pro 2.1 both at home and at work. At work we also have other editors, but these are usualy for doing specific things or much more advacned things. These include things like Cubase (more for recording & MIDI) and Cakewalk.

CEP is my favourite.
