I'd rather not if it's all the same. The thing is, much as I hate cheese, without it we'd never of had Dave's song about cheese...

Sandwiches: a beginners guide:

A sandwich consists of two slices of bread, into which various fillings may be placed to form a light snack. For example, one may place chicken, lettuice, cucumber, black pepper and a pinch of salt within said slices of bread, and voila, a sandwich is born.

Sandwiches may contain many different fillings, such as sausage, bacon and fried egg, or, god forbid, cheese.

I hope this clears things up.

the sandwiches at my uni are evil they look all nice with things like "ham salad", "chunky chicken" and "egg an bacon" but then in tiny little letters you only read afterwards it says stuff like "contains mayo with brown sauce and pickled onion" or "mixed with spicy mexican shite with full flavour sick".

the sandwiches at my school are pathetic, if you want a salad sandwich all you get is a piece of lettuce and 2 slices of bread and it costs us about £1.50! and that's why i take my own lunch :)

that's why i said sandwiches in britain seemed depressing. when i was in london a sandwich was a piece of meat, or cheese, rarely any green stuff, smacked between two buttered pieces of bread. in america a sandwich is a production- lettuce, tomatoes, onions, sprouts, mustard, cheese, meat (if you fancy), and the like. now i'm hungry....

I'm going to America in exactly one months time. I'm going with a Friend to NY and it's costing us next to nothing. We're staying with a mate who works for the UN out there so no accomodation costs and we got our plane tickets for £100 return rather than the £300 it would have cost us if we didn't have a mate who worked for Virgin Atlantic  ..so a week in New york for £100...can't be bad...it would have costs us about £600 or maybe even £700 otherwise....nice! :D

...and trying to get the conversation back around to sandwiches and food in general... British sandwiches arent depressing, just look at the ham, cheese and salad cream sandwich: the best sandwich in the world. And you have the british (or at least me) to thank for all those great food combos: bannana and salad cream, maltloaf and mustart, maltloaf and marmite... chicken and chocolate, too.
