The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

I'll second this comment. I can't stand listening to regular broadcast commercial radio here in the States because of all the commercials. When I had satellite radio it was better - no ads on many of the channels, but nowadays, aside from the new CM shows, my listening consists of my own music, podcasts, audiobooks, a couple of BBC shows and old CM shows. For the new CM shows, I just fast forward through the limited number of ads.

I saw Steve Coogan on TFI on Friday and I thought he was ageing very well indeed. He looks his age, and it really suits him.

I got annoyed when I listened to Dave's terrible mash up of 1975 and Bowie, so I started to do my own little mash up of them to see how hard it was (turns out they are not only the same key but the same tempo too). Then I got carried away and did the whole song :? So although I know no-one asked for it, here it is anyway...

Send it there way. See if Chris plays it.

They really seem to be gelling a lot more now I've noticed - as predicted by many on here, Masterman is starting to sound a bit more comfortable on the show. Playing along with the Facebook post thing was funny.

Also really enjoyed the trick they managed to play on Vernon with Radio Stoke.

Chris Evans did the Lionel Richie joke on R2 before either of them.

I don't think Radio X were ever going to play it, not exactly fresh rock and guitar based music.

The Lionel Richie gag was fairly obvious, although it would have been better with the David Gest (?) drop.

I enjoyed what I heard of the Platinum Hour, I don't get why those tracks aren't on the regular playlist. I got the Golden Hour on Radio 1 where they generally just played new stuff, but on a station that regularly plays the Stones it just seems to say "yeah, we know the playlist is shit".

And as for putting Queen on the wheel of inappropriate tracks for a station that plays rock and guitar based music...

I'm enjoying the show but I'm not convinced about Masterman. Not sure why they need two producers, although Capital clearly said to Chris that Masterman will have to be involved. Pippa's funny (if only unintentionally), but Masterman seems like dead weight.

He should be an off-air producer and they should replace him with someone who Chris and Dom can banter with. Obviously it wouldn't be Comedy Dave (that ship has clearly sailed given there were opportunities to mention him that weren't taken), but there must be other options.

If Masterman is going to continue on the show then he really should make himself more involved in my opinion, which he has the power to do as a producer.
