I thought today's show was one of the best so far. I also liked the Ban Ki Moon segment as well as the Anneka Rice call, the "controversy" afterward and the Keith Chegwin bit.

AfterPod October 02: Madam, Comedy, Sporty and Baby
(The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X Ep.1: Noel Gallagher)

http://afterpod.net/madam-comedy-sporty-and-baby

The original Chris Moyles SORX podcast, as discussed on this show: http://fs.geronimo.thisisglobal.com/aud ... 483d8f.mp3

The show opens with a little Moyles history and dinosaur feather ruffling. After crashing Radio X, there’s a comparison between Podcasts & Radio and Comedy Dave vs. Madam Dave.
There’s some chat about Noel Gallagher and his drunken antics on previous shows.
Paul is confused by the censorship, then there’s a quick sidetrack with Jamie Theakston in a dungeon and the show closes with Odd John, Baby and Sporty Spices.

Moyles and Madonna swearing at each other (UNCENSORED)

He's been a bit more involved this week, and plenty of times he seemed to be enjoying it.
He may have thought that Chris was going too far by having his Mum on the phone (or so he thought), but other than that he seems fine.

As the Chris Tarrant interview proved, without seeing the visual facial reactions, it's easy to get it wrong.
Someone sounds like a dick, when they're actually playing along laughing when you see the video.

And as has already been said, he's sort of the new boy, because the others have all worked together before, and know each other very well.
He probably doesn't want to come across as too "try hard", because who likes that kid, eh?

I'm sure he knew what he was signing up for, and a year from now we'll a different side to him.

Unless.....his job is temporary because Dave (Vitty) couldn't start for a few months because of other obligations, and so doesn't see the point in getting too attached!
But that's another story. ;)
(Remember you heard it here first!)

Yes this, remember when Will, Lizzie, Carrie & Tina first joined the various shows they were much more quieter and in the background than the rest of the team and those they had replaced (we don't have Will's first show in the archive here but the earliest we have of him, which I think is 20th October 2000, he's more in the background than he later became.

Madam will do fine, once he's more in his stride he will fit in, perhaps a less incompetent Will or more vocal & willing Rhys [emoji38]

Exactly, Chris had done 5-6 years of entertaining radio without dave before hand at Radio Luxembourg, Severn Sound, 95.8 Capital FM & his early days of Radio 1, it's just people are not used to him not being there, give it 6-12 months and he probably won't be so missed by then & I say that as someone who liked Dave

Can anyone please jog my memory as to which day they were reading out texts for who people would like as guests on the show ("A, failing that...B")? I know roughly what time it was, I've just forgotten what day...

I think it was Monday 28th September, because that was the day they did the final radio studio invasion with Classic FM. Just did a quick Twitter search and the first mentions of "failing that" to the Radio X and Chris Moyles accounts are on the same day.

If anyone is yet to click this link — don't bother. Extreme lazy journalism from someone who clearly has a decade-old perception of Moyles, has gone into 'listen again' and after one link has either had the website crash on them or has decided they've heard what they wanted to hear.

You've got to be joking right? Okay they don't like Chris, I get that and I have a number of other issues with them recently, but to pretend they're worse than the Mail, Express or the Sun for cynicism and negativity is absolutely ridiculous.

For various reasons (no DAB in the car, for a start) I've only heard some of Moyles first 10 shows. What I have heard though, I've loved! So great to have him back on the airwaves.

I miss Dave (Comedy), but that's just me. Loving that Chris n Dom still have the dynamic between 'em, bouncing off each other with jokes.

Might be answered in one of the pages here (no time to read 'em all), but is there an 'iPlayer' of the shows available to listen to after the airing, does anyone know? Or can you get on on RadioDownloader (not used that for time!)

Well, the papers you mention aren't really comparable to the Guardian are they? Out of the broadsheets the Guardian always seem to be relentless negative over anything mainstream.

Great Periscope broadcast earlier tonight, with Rob DJ.
Quite long too.

A few people asked where Dave was.
As much as I'd like to see Dave on the show, people should just let it go now.
I'm sure they'd like to talk to each other (if they're not already in private), but you know, men's pride and all that nonsense.
No point in making it awkward every time he's on.

Fun broadcast though.
