I agree although as you all know I used to keep them all in on most of the afternoon shows back when I edited them as Moyles interacted with the newsreaders on the days news more than he did on Breakfast (plus I like Claire Kavaners (sp) voice so there  ), also when you get a news bulletin that has a clip from Robin Cook, Kevin Keegan as England manager and mentions Yugoslavia as a still existing country then you just have to keep that one in

I keep the first bulletin in as whole but then edit out the rest unless there is interaction. I like to keep them in for the pure and simple reason of history. It's good to hear old Moyles shows but the news does give it a "Peice of history" edge to it. I like that. It's no different to watching old T.V. shows, It takes you back to that time.

Although I am very grateful for all the work done on archiving the old shows, I really wish this was done for all the shows in the archive. I'm currently on the early March 2005 shows just prior to the Red Nose Rally, and all the shows so far have had the news cut out entirely. I agree that keeping the first bulletin in helps place the show in history. After that first one, it makes sense to cut out all the others.

But again - thanks to all who have put in the hard work with archiving the shows!

It's only taken 2 days but I've got the 52 hour marathon show down to 42 and a half hours. That's the first 24 hours edited. Now to do the next day and a bit. :) (It's going to be one hell of long show. I'm trying to get one full run instead of split into parts, That is no way meant to offend the others who done the hard work at the time)
If I can edit this show down then any Friday show will seem like it's flying past. ha

Proof listening to the edited version now. It might be a while before I can upload it though. With all the music and all bar three news bulletins out it's still nearly 32 hours long. My personal lowlight of the run was Benji B. He was soo dull, or relaxed depending on your opinion. My highlight was Kissy Sell Out. He played some really good music and he was a surprise to me as I never usually listened at that time of night. I felt sorry for Chris & Dave when Jameo and Andy George where in. I felt they made them feel soo old with the music quiz.

Yeah, that's having nothing on your phone. "The Cloud" shits the bed every 5 minutes, or at least it feels like that sometimes.
My "Cloud" is my 28TB NAS. :D On there are over 500GB of "Radio" files. That's not all gonna fit on me phone, so I put a couple of months of shows on there at a time.

I use the cloud for backups only.

I think the Amazon Cloud Player (or is it Google's?) lets you sync/download stuff from the cloud to the phone?

Have you tried the Virgin Media "free" wi-fi in the tube? I have an account, but haven't tried it yet, as I haven't been in London for a while.

Also I can say my Cloud Player app on my phone is superb around Bristol. It doesn't feel much different to if the songs were all on my phone. Very rarely buffers and each track loads fairly quickly. With my upgrade to 4G coming soon with unlimited data I am hoping it will be even more efficient. Amazon only charge £17 a year as well and you can store up to 250,000 songs.

I paid £99 (A one off payment, not this annual crap) for my i-pod and I can have all the songs in my collection on there with ease (I have a fairly big collection, About 5000 CDs'). That means no buffering or waiting for songs to load up. Maybe I'm getting old but a phone should just that. :)
