It is tedious when any celebrity does it not just Chris. You are the kind of person the tweets are aimed at though so it's no surprise you seem to enjoy those types of tweets.

I don't care what Chris tweets about. I'm not going to get bothered over a celebrity tweeting about a new project they have coming up, really not my top priority.

Disingenuous self promotion of a product that a majority of your followers won't be interested in is an engagement strategy which will yield awful results. It's likely to incite your audience to unfollow, and as Chris doesn't have any content to draw new followers in - it would be very difficult for him to retain his current figures.

As Chris will need to rely on his Twitter following to launch or promote any future projects, he would do well to avoid doing such things. When people follow an account on Twitter, they will only unfollow if you give them a reason to - it would make a lot more sense to stay quiet if you have nothing interesting to say, but interject occasionally with generic tweets. Something which Chris has been doing.

Chris' twitter account is ultimately akin to a corporate account, and if he uses it to repeatedly plug an old product - he will lessen the impact which the account could potentially have in the future.

Seems you are pretty bothered about it as you were the one who questioned the slight criticism of Chris' use of Twitter.

Good points, but I highly doubt that Chris is going to stop plugging it.

This does not bother me at all.

It seems a little sad that JayE getting a battering for saying something in support.

JayE Chrys is very intelligent and all, and is very learned on this particular subject, BUT this is only his opinion, marketing;nothing is other than supposition and using data to prove a theory, it's interesting and all, creative and fun, but it's not science.

Bieber gobbing on a fan... not good news, anyway, I am back over to Ask.FM, apparently there Mods are shite!

Given that he's only plugged it 9 times in the last 4 months - I'd guess that Yuds' comment was more a reflection of how little he has going on rather than a genuine concern!

Boboff is right, I may not be 100% correct on the matter, just offering an explanation why product promotion on Twitter needs to have a surrounding content strategy - and when it doesn't it comes across as lazy, tedious and encourages people to unfollow.

I, on the other hand, have blocked him so people who I follow who retweet him don't make him appear in my timeline.

Absolutely nothing Jay, I was just saying what he did. I don't mind him doing it at all, although I do find it a little bit sad that they are apparently struggling to sell them, presumably hence the BOGOF.

It's starch contrast to the knee puns we did the other day.
