double post sorry.

I'm working two jobs at the moment and I'm absolutely shattered. I start in the morning at a cafe at half 6 clean until nine, go home, catch some kip, then head up to the venue to set up my DJ, come home, have a bit of food before going back and DJing until 1, pack down takes an hour if I'm lucky and then i get homeo for 2:15 to be up again for half six. its not lack of sleep thats taking it out of me, its the strange sleeping patterns. need a rest but fat chance that will happen in this job..

* parents again! Katie's little baby's birthday tomorrow and we both made the conscious decision ages ago that I wouldn't buy him a present. I can't reel off the exact reasons why I feel that way but for this year at least I just feel it best to be that way and Katie agrees. I phone my parents today and get a massive lecture about it. Meh.

Daddy Ben = "So what did you get the little fellow for his birthday"

Ben= "Oh you know, gave some money to Katie for him, it's not like he can choose and Katie can treat baby or herself"

Daddy Ben = " Good lad I'll get your Mother"

Sometime lying is best! Parents don't understand as they grew up in the War.

me and my dad were nearly punching each other over whether or not to keep a broken tv stand the other day when I decided to have a spontaneous tidy up. they can be moody arseholes sometimes.

Ben you have a weird life, a weird situation and a weird relationship with your girlfriend and her child - but however weird it might look, it seems to work pretty well. Try not to worry about what your parents (or anyone else) think. You two are doing well, trust yourselves.

Agreed. I remember reading the New Life thread and thinking you were in for a huge shower of shit but you seem to be taking an uncommon situation in your stride. Kudos for that. Less need to worry about the little things, like parental opinions over the bairn's birthday.

The new social media policy at work. Means I can't go on here at work anymore :(

Not meant to use our phones in the office either! In all fairness the policy hasn't changed much... But it's been relaunched so I am going to keep a low profile. Just have to take more breaks... It was probably more the chat room that I was logged into all day!

My mother was here yesterday and gave me a lecture about how I have to change my ways and become more tidy when I move as "Mr Red will get sick of living with me like this." Mr Red has been to my flat many times and knows exactly how tidy I am. I'm almost 40. ie, parents never change. Don't worry about it Ben.

Strangely, no...I dunno why I'm persisting with that really as everyone here knows his name now. Just habit I s'pose.

Just bought a computer game on eBay that was dressed up to be the actual game but it turns out on the description it is just the box for it. FML.

I haven't done for ages. Just browsed the computer games section and saw a couple of games for a reasonable price. The guy has literally told me via email he does this kind of thing all the time. I've told him he can stick the money up his arse and informed customer support.

I have so much packing to do for my move and my stupid back and hip just will not stop hurting. It's taking all the excitement out of moving. God damnit.

I bet you have thrown loads of stuff away. I know when I moved I kept asking myself why I even had half of the stuff I did. It's amazing how much pointless crap you can find under a bed.

You are hilarious. Not only that you are also pompous, self righteous and smarmy.
