So my cat had to be put down this morning after being in the family for 14 years. We knew it was coming and I've gotta be honest I'm really glad that I was in Bristol when I found out otherwise it probably would have been really upsetting. It sounds mad but I felt like I had a great bond with that cat. RIP :(

It does sound daft but I totally get it. Everyone loves their pets but some are just more special than others. I still miss Tom The Orange Cat

Most definitely. He has currently been here every night since at least Sunday, often being alone in the kitchen watching the tv with his feet up. I'd love to walk into someone's flat and do that. This coupled with the fact that said flatmate has had at least 5 different blokes over this year doing exactly the same pissed me off a lot.

Yeah, public spats on social media with people who are actually in your real life are never a good idea.

Finding out it wasn't my hard drive dying on my PC - AFTER buying a new one for 60 quid. It was my network card having a fit that caused my hard drive to thrash around like a child on Sunny Delight..new network card, £8. Stupid technology.

Bronchitis. That is what my recurring lurgy actually is. I think I was under the impression it was caused by heavy smoking or working in factories or something, but no, it's just the cold virus run riot. So that's another one to add to my list of Nana-like ailments.

A bit late, but a hard drive thrashing is not the sign of it dying. For future reference, use something like CrystalDiskInfo to tell you if your drive is dying.

EVERYTHING looked like failing hard drive though. Ah well, an extra 2TB of storage is not to be sniffed at.

The only everything you need to know is the SMART report. No dying hard drive will thrash. If you hear whining, the bearings are going. Other than that, it'll either stop spinning up or you'll see read or write errors or reallocated sectors in SMART.

I'm selling off my collection of old hard drives (about 40 of 'em) on FleaBay at the moment, so they are all being tested!

Isn't the design itself the thing that's been trademarked specifically in relation to merchandise? Similar to 'DB23' or 'CR7'.

Not the actual celebration, in the context of being a celebration

Standard move if he plans to release a clothing line or jewellery range. If you didn't trademark your logo then anyone would be able to reproduce your items exactly. Which would be a silly business move.
