Load of old bull. Lets just see what happens come the start of next summer when there is usually a big drop in the "figures"

As they are a "load of old bull" you shouldn't be taking any notice of them next summer either.

Indeed and correct.

Just a quick question really

Does any one know the ratings from when chris left and nick taking over ?
Are they lower or higher now?

I'm particularly proud of all the merging I did on my phone in the bar after the goodbye show.

Just thought I'd bump this up and update the title as Q1's data is out at midnight (of course the station's already have the info).

Can Grimmy build any audience I wonder? Starting him in Q4 was smart by Ben as the breakfast slot always lost listeners in over the summer but this set of figures would surely give a good guide as to Grimmy's success (or not).

Will be very interesting, don't forget Grimmy sucked up to teenyboppers with One D in the first few weeks, guess it also depends on who the diaries of radio listening were given to.

You can make any figures look good if you skew the odds on who's giving feedback, and I bet R1 picked their "random" audience very carefully..

R1 don't pick those who fill in the diaries RAJAR do.

It looks quite bad for Grimshaw...

figures here but as a headline, listener numbers down 1.3m on Q1 2012 (nearly 20%) and listening hours down by 32.5%

Interestingly, looking through those stats, the market share amongst 55-64 year olds has gone UP since Chris left, and the market share amongst 15-24 year olds has gone down

5.8 million listners. That is LESS than Sara Cox Had when she was on breakfast.

I like this quote from Helen boaden
“The brand new schedule continues to bed in at Radio 1.
"We remain confident that it will emerge strongly from a period of transition.”

We have had 8 months now. How long do they need. Scott and greg have been swapped round for a year now.

also matt deegan's quote is great too.
I feel bad writing this one. It’s fundamentally unfair to judge a brand new breakfast show, especially one that followed a renowned programme, after just two quarters on the air. That won’t, of course, stop the papers who no doubt will be saying there’s a ‘crisis’ at Radio 1

8 months is hardly a new breakfast show. No matter how much you swoon it

Facts are. Nick Grimshaw has less listeners since Chris Evans' time on radio 1. That's going back 16 years to the last rajar figures in 1996. (with evans being sacked in the January of 97)

In my defence I've been up half the night puking and things aren't quite making sense at the moment. It took me more than a few seconds to work out who Holmes was!

This is excellent stuff :D .

It's not very endearing to adopt the tone of the self righteous, embittered,'I told you so' naysayer, but, by Christ, it feels good. 8)

You won't have noticed the subtle name changes in his quotes then.

Am I the only one finding it baffling that Jayne (Dave's ex) is stoically defending the Radio 1 shift to Grimmy on twitter?

Unless she's looking to make/keep friends at Radio 1, I don't see the relevance of her 'educating' people as to why it's a good thing...

Sat and today are up
