Director of Talent... interesting title. I would think that everything BBC America shows is also seen back in the UK. I wonder her Director of Talent position means she will be responsible for hiring people to appear on programs just for BBC America?

I was wondering the exact same thing. BBCA is branching out into original content (i.e. Copper) so that could be the case.

Freya hits the big time, living in New York City and gets paid pounds which is excellent for her considering the pound to dollar exchange rate. Congratulations Freya. Now if we could hear some great news about Chris returning to the airwaves in 2013.

If he's not coming back (and it's looking increasingly likely that he won't) then why would they want to announce it when he hasn't broadcast a single show since September? - they're so desperate for Grimmy to be a success that the last thing they will want to do is give Chris or his loyal fan base any more ammo!

Check the radio 1 Facebook page - most days the posts involving Grim Nickshaw are either removed or full of posts wanting him gone and Chris back!

I the eyes of Radio 1 management, sadly Chris epitomises everything they don't want to be anymore.

It's been suggested by others that any potential meetings would likely be to discuss releasing him from his contract. Sad but looking more and more likely.

Me2. Still maintain I'm not old enough (in mind, not body) for Radio 2. Been listening to a bit of 1xtra recently and quite enjoying it, but 'tis a bit hard-core for all day listening!

As more time passes I'm convinced Chris lives in some kind of fantasy land where he thinks he is the king of light entertainment and offers are going to come flooding in for him to do acting roles and host chat shows etc. Chris is the best radio DJ in the world and seemingly has forgotten that. Just get back on the radio in some capacity please.

The kids are watching a lot of Love Machine recently - always seems odd now as the kids know him as Chris from Love Machine and are largely oblivious to his previous (better) work! Odd...

He's back with JCS in a few weeks too. I think he will get more theatre work.

His foot is firmly in the door regarding TV work. If he wants to go in that direction I don't blame him.

He has presented a couple of poorly received TV shows that have flopped in the ratings. Hardly a glittering career is it? Sure he will probably always get some kind of TV work but he's hardly going to be the next Jonathan Ross or Graham Norton. I wish him the best but he is a DJ and always will be.

The longer he leaves it, the faster he moves into obscurity & irrelevance.
He did say he'd decide what to do in the new year. I guess within the first 6 months of the new year, not 3.5 weeks into January.
He knows from past experience that tv & him don't work.
He said on this morning that he won't do more theatre.
Have people forgotten these things?
He's waiting for the right bbc radio show, but should do an interim show to warm up in the meantime.

Brilliant. Can't come up with anything witty, so defaults to 'post picture'. Bravo young lad.

ChrisBoyles wrote:So you don't agree. Cue unfunny picture response reflecting your age and/or intelligence to avoid debate. Bravo
