Jus' to update you, I couldn't be arsed to buy Bic's, went with the Eff it attitude - as the song says, "I'm sexy and I know it".

No. I could never fill in for Badger, but my advice was serious, if not the most PC. Trust, it'll make all the difference.

Thanks. Just thanks. I've noted it somewhere.

I have a friend who fly's planes for BA, and lives in Somerset.

He was very pleased when then announced they were postponing the Pilot Cull.

Oh Tim
"Take it easy, have a wank it'll make you feel better"
Is probably the worst advice I have ever heard, well apart from that time you recommended wearing Checks and Stripes......

You're clearly not doing it right. (although, I seem to recall Mrs Bob does actualy exist, therefore nullifying said advice for a gent such as yourself).

chrysostom wrote:The TV is a cheap non-brand one (technosonic) that would barely be worth £100 today.

I'll get a quote for it but I can get a decent new one to replace it for £170 and I doubt a repair like that would come cheap.

Most of the ones I'm seeing are ~£70, and given that the TV isn't particularly good, a new one might be less hassle and more reliable!

Thanks Neil.

Going to try and get a couple of quid from the old TV, hoping someone who knows how to fix HDMI ports is looking to buy it on the cheap!

Just uploaded almost 50 jingles to the vault and whilst they are a really nice addition to our clips collection, that's one hell of a repetitive, shoulder-straining task.

Like computers and hard drives they've become almost commoditised.

Hard drives, yes - when I think I paid £70 for a 160GB drive only a few years ago, you could now get 2TB for that money, but computers less so. Yes, you can get a 'perfectly acceptable' laptop for £500 now, but to get a good one with the newest tech inside is still way over £1000. These PC world laptops for £500 are able to be sold that cheap 'cos they contain techy bits of a 2008 standard, good enough for browsing tinterweb and making spreadsheets, but nowhere near good enough to run newer applications (games and graphics packages alike). Given the rate of PC development, if its older than 6 moths, its out of date and out performed.

Just found out that a regular from my old forum metalsludge passed away unexpectedly. Not someone I ever met in person, but still, very sad. RIP Soichi.

Yeah, was having a chat with a workmate - if you split the cost with everyone else that lives on your street, it wouldn't be too unaffordable..! :)

Dunno, didn't look. Knew it'd be more than I got, so didn't see the point!

Although, did you see the size hole needed to put it in?! kinda reminded me of the missus...! 8O :? (anyone else missing Badger?!)

It's still stupid. Especially at that viewing distance.

God bless his soul (if he has any left!). I wonder where he's got to unless he's been locked in a basement by his missus having his balls tortured.
