Some absolute bellend did this to mine within the last 24 hours, no idea who, where or when:

Meh... Local Sheffield garage just turned their noses up and said its gotta go to main dealer.

So, in typical head in the sand approach, I've just tried to ignore it this week. Will try again next week!

Looks like a bellend with either a moped, or pushbike. I had a similar scratch appear recently on my front bumper; however luckily the scroat that did it was laying on the floor with his moped on top of him when I went out to see what the commotion was.

Don't fancy his insurance next year........

Sorry it wasn't of too much use....

It looks quite a deep one; it has clearly gone through the paint into either the primers or past that (same as mine did); as mine was insurance they done quite a comprehensive job of rubbing it down and re-spraying. The problem for your one also is it is quite close to the cars natural bodywork, so if you took it to a garage they might struggle to paint match.

It's gone straight down to the plastic unfortunately. Being a metallic silver it's gonna be a bitch to match.

I'm fitting a new FRP bonnet at some point soon which will probably need a custom bumper too as the bonnet looks different so I might just wait until then!

If anyone's interested in that, current bonnet/bumper:

Brrrrrap, brrrrrap, brrrrrrap. For the first time since July, I am now driving around in a car which has no warning lights on the dash! Whoop!

Yesterdays little visit ended up with the replacement of two sensors and the relief to my wallet to the tune of 185.37 english pounds stirling.

Vrrrrrrrrrrrrrroooooooooooooooooooom.

I've actually met Chris n shook his hand. This fact is still causing slight issues in my trouser dept.... :wink:

Unfortunately I seem to have inherited your warning light, as my anti theft stuff is playing up. Sometimes the car won't start, and I'm getting the 'security flashing key' light staying on solid sometimes when driving. Fault codes P1610 and P1614.

Apparently it's the loom to the transponder that's dodgy. Oh fun.

Nope, built in NATS (Nissan Anti-Theft System) immobilizer. Even worse when the standard security is failing eh?

Whoever thought that putting computers in cars would be helpful was an idiot. Its just something else to go wrong and cost a * fortune to put right.

It also helped car manufacturers come on leaps and bounds in terms of perfomance and economy. Unfortunately computers are a necessary evil these days in cars. Carburettors are just too outdated to be of any practical use (unless you work for a Nascar racing team)
