Personally i`d like to see him get Steve Wrights slot in the afternoon on Radio 2, i find myself having to tune out and then back in to listen to Sally on traffic. I think this means i`m not his biggest fan, it needs freshening up and i reckon Chris is the man to do this.

Chris tweeted earlier today about meeting aled for lunch, I wonder if it was to discuss chris's future and wanting to be on radio soon, and that he wants aled as his producer? Lets hope this is why they met for lunch! #teammoyles

Merged. When I type that I often get the urge to shout it like Chandler in Friends, you know when he's suggesting to Monica that they get a big MERGE roadsign for above their bed? "That's like you and me - MERGED."

Awesome niche Friends quote right there. Suitably impressed! :)

I read that someone said recently (I think either Caitlin Moran or Grace Dent) that there is a Friends reference to suit any occasion in life, and I think they were right.

Not sure if this has been posted in another thread or not. Stumbled across an article online which suggests Chris hasn't completely closed the door on Radio 1 projects. Most of it is about JCS Grimey Grimmy, but the relevant quote from Chris was:

"The truth of it is I'm going to do the tour then I'll go for a few beers with Ben from Radio 1 and we'll sit down and talk about what we're going to do or what we're not going to do."

Suggestions that he may move abroad as per my previous post, and that No deals with cooper have been done yet which must be frustrating for r1

Well that was written through gritted teeth.

In terms of Moyles radio carreer I would say the quote would be "LONDON BABY". Stay in London, Stay on national radio (BBC preverably) and keep my ears happy.

I'm pleased to hear this. Sunday 10am-1pm for Chris? BBBen would be stupid not to try and get something from him.

I'm increasingly thinking a more specialist show would be the way forward, wherever he goes. But it's good that he's taking a short break just now and taking his time to decide what to do next - it's appropriate for the changing of an era like this, and it'll make him even more welcome when he does return.

Ok. We know.we have 4 slots to fill on the.schedule.

Monday to Thursday. 10pm - midnight.
Saturday. 10am - 1pm. (vernon is leaving at the end of the month. Contract was not renewed)
Sunday. 10am - 1pm. Cover for Sara why she covers fern
Sunday. 10pm - midnight. After the surgery. Nick grimshaw and Annie Mac's show. Unless Annie goes solo.

This one is a very long shot. Has anyone seen the magazine cover. (think its closer) (dont ask. I work.nights and the cover caught my eye) and it was stating that the new morning team on daybreak. (lorraine Kelly and t'uther Aled Jones) were still losing figures. Bit far fetched. Mirror the show on the radio to the tv. Replace the.music with features etc. Could easily pull 3 million viewers. Dom doing the news. Chris and Dave on the couch. Bring juliette from bbc for sport. Yes it will be very big breakfast. But didn't Evans prove that the format worked In The early years

Why does it need freshening? It's a variety show aimed at a radio 2 (not youth audience). He brings in millions of listeners everyday, has awards coming out left, right & centre & has done it successfully for years, without any sign of listeners saying it needs freshening up. I doubt Chris wil do any breakfast radio again, on r2, or elsewhere, I think that it's a chapter in his life completed. And unless he changes or tames down his style that fans have come to love or expect, then the afternoon or drive time shows on r2 will be out of his reach. And those 3, including breakfast, are the biggest going

Calm down, easy tiger!!! Read the post again, this is my personal opinion and not necessarily fact. It's my opinion as to where he should go and as far as I'm aware I'm still entitled to my own opinion .

Dave and Dom have both said that they're leaving the BBC (discussed in the dom & Dave thread). Aled is continuing to present the Surgery but taking a break from producing. Tina is staying on with Grimmy. Chris has said nothing as yet.
