I'll check with my friends in ticketing on Monday. I tend to assume that gigs at the Academy will be standing, but when I went to Weird Al it was unreserved seating.

Anyone got any details for Ticketweb like a number or anything on your confirmation email if you bought through o2 priority? They took the money out my account yesterday but I've heard nothing at all off them.

Nicola, I have Arthritis, so can't stand either. Although I live closer to London we are going to Birmingham (3 hour drive) as I won't have to mess about with trains, tubes etc.
Anyway, I contacted the venue to ask what disabled arrangements they had explaining I couldn't stand and they advised me to get balcony unreserved seating tickets. Once I had, I was to let them know the confirmation code and they would arrange for me to be able to go in early and choose which seats would be better for me. They were really helpful.
The only stipulation was that I had to contact them first to discuss it otherwise they couldn't guarentee they would be able to help.
Maybe worth contacting the venue and asking.

Oh, I have arthritis too! But only moderate so I don't really consider myself 'disabled' at the moment. Manchester academy has no balcony - it's a purpose-built gig venue rather than a theatre. I'm guessing they have wheelchair spaces, but otherwise I think I'll just have to stand up and be in pain if I want to go!

What a coincidence! I'm not disabled in the sense of having a wheelchair (which seems to be most people's take on the word), I do have to use a crutch to help me walk, I claim disability benefits because I am unable to work anymore and have a blue badge.
I think it's ridiculous that there aren't a few chairs for people who would need to sit, after all if there is positioning for wheelchairs then what's wrong with having a few chairs in the same area. I could rant on forever, but won't! Hope you find a way to go that suits you.

Yeah, mine is not that advanced yet. I could go, I'd just be in pain during and afterwards - so it may just be a decision as to whether I want to see it enough to cope with that! I will talk to my friend who works at the academy and then make a decision.

Dave's just said on Twitter that he won't be making an appearance on the tour. :(

Thanks again for all your lovely messages. For those asking if I will be on the Chris Moyles Live tour in November, I won't I'm afraid.

Yep, Aled told us that on Thu, but none of us could remember if it was for public knowledge or not so we all kept quiet!

That's a shame - when Aled said that he was going to be making an appearance on the tour, I was hoping that it might be a bit of a team thing.

Does anyone know any more details on the content of the tour other than the press releases?

I'm looking forward to it, to be honest, the thought of seeing Chris and some of the team have made me feel more positive about the end of the show.

Chris tweeted that he would be appearing with a live band, there would be music and chat, and guests - make of that what you will!

All I've seen is what they wrote on the ticket site:

Chris Moyles will be celebrating the end of an era by embarking on a UK tour
this November.

'Chris Moyles Live' will be an 80-minute touring music and comedy show
incorporating audience participation.

"This is my first chance to get out and see the fans since I left the radio
show. It will be a night of singing and laughing and messing about. If you
share my same sense of humour and love for bad karaoke, then this is the show
for you."

Accompanied by a live band Chris and his friends will perform songs,
interspersed amongst the music there will of course be non-stop banter fun
and games. and a lot more. Audience participation will of course be
encouraged, creating the perfect party atmosphere with an interactive element.

Chris Moyles is the host of the longest running Radio 1 Breakfast show ever
with an audience of 7 million listeners weekly, and over 2.5 million Twitter
followers.

The tour isn't just sitting back watching, laughing and singing, it's a
chance for the audience to participate too, making each night different from
the next and surprises are around every corner.

I'd assumed "Chris and his friends" meant team members, but in hindsight it might just be referring to random guests.

Dave's following tweet does really seem to shut the door on doing more stuff with Chris...

Sorry for those of you who have already bought tickets & are now disappointed. Exciting times ahead though. Clean break and a fresh start x

Roy used to be in the forces, with a period stationed in the jungle. If you remember his Come Dine With Me appearance he made a big thing of his fitness dropping and giving press-ups. I had a chat to him once about the IACGMOOH, there was a time he would have been interested to go - but he said that he's older now and doesn't feel like it's something he'd want to/be able to do any longer.

Dave is busy in November/December so can't do the tour. That's from an official source.

Dave & doms dj tour? Could not be put on hold given the magnitude of chris' live tour & the fact that dave contributed to the songs ..excuse me if I'm incorrect and it's reality tv which can't be rescheduled ... Just strange why theyre not touring together

I was thinking the same thing, not sure but i got the impression Dave was really not impressed at the show ending but Chris has plenty to keep him going, maybe this has caused a bit of a rift between the two of them

I think Dom and Aled are vital for the entertainment - Tina is too 'cool' to have fun, and Dave would just stand/sit there unless prompted.
I think they will do a few songs with partly scripted banter and skits. Each guest will have their moment i.e. a song or a joke.
I presume he'll have special guests and rely on embarrassing crowd members!
Looking forward to it but am nervous as I convinced 3 others to come who arent big fans....might be boring!

It's a shame. The fall out is looking more public & official unless fans are told otherwise
It won't be the same without grumpy dave
I can see fans shouting 'where's dave where's dave' or 'we want dave' 'bring on folk-face' etc
Truly the end of the Lennon & McCartney of radio

Stop referring to it as a fall out! Mark & Lard went their separate ways but that wasn't a fall out. Or if it was, they kept it extremely well hidden. Including from me on the occasions I've talked to both of them in a work capacity.

What absolute * bollocks. I'd apologise for being so rude, but this has to be one of the most stupid assertions I've seen on this site in recent times, and seems more a desperate cry for attention than anything else.

3 people are involved in this ridiculous rumour. Of those 3 people, NONE of them post on this site so they cannot even see the bloody thing, at least one of them hates the site for speculating about his personal life - and Aled (who is the forum's only link to SHOW related information) would be a spectacularly shit friend if he started commenting on random speculation about Chris, Dave or Jayne's personal lives.

What absolute fudgecunting nonsense.
