Mine's in my sig too

BTW, is anyone coming from South/West of London? You can feel free to park up at mine (free parking, no permits needed) and get the tube in - I live near Tooting Bec , and it's very easy to get into Central :)

Might take you up on that.

Now - as far as the Tube is concerned, this is peak, right? Just a heads up for anyone getting a travelcard - it's going to be cheaper - certainly for us, albeit only by a couple of quid - to get an off-peak Travelcard and pay for the single peak journey, so that may be worth looking into.

You could always get the Tube from South Ealing / Northfields and change at Green Park or Piccadilly Circus?

Edit: also, to add to Chris' previous route from Starbucks, this is the route we'll be taking from the Tube to there - I'm assuming most will be getting off at Oxford Circus.

Don't forget the congestion charge (£10) on top of the parking, which will be around £7-10 per hour for 6 hours (or usually a flat all day charge for periods longer than 6 hours).

Alternatively you could park up at mine and get (cough, share) a taxi in for about £25 :P

I've got a half day so will be going to work (most likely a little tipsy) at around 1pm, but it's a very easy place to get to if anyone does want to park up. We're in a very safe area (unlike my last flat!)

I would never voluntarily drive into London.

Central London is daunting to drive in for the first few times, and then it's just irritating.

During peak hours it's very slow (due to congestion and buses) and other people are VERY bad/selfish/inept drivers which makes everything much more stressful than it needs to be.

On a slightly separate note, is anyone taping the red button coverage & able to post it online? I'll be at work so will miss it!! Want to see how many you lucky lot we can spot!

That should be fine - It'll take around 30-35 minutes for the cab, so if we're meeting at around 6.15-30, it would be best to book it for around 5.45am. Are you alright to get here for before then? (plus does anyone else who's driving want to come along?)

I may well do.... Finalising plans now (between doing the odd bit of work...)

We would do, but it'd be a roundabout trip for us! Going to have to swallow the expensive tube ticket I suspect from Stanmore.

It's more than likely I'll get there way before then and have nap in my car. I need to make time allowances because of my very poor navigational skills.

I'm still getting a cab from Euston. I also have poor navigational skills so I want to be absolutely sure I have everything planned out and won't get lost :)

To get home, do reverse.

I've had bad experiences with trains before. Not sure I trust them.

A hell of a lot more reliable than trying to drive into London.
