I had plimsolls on cos it's 22 degrees and my feet get sweaty in boots. Apart from ridiculous heels, those are pretty much my only footwear options.

If its any consolation, its hot, sticky and dull here while you are enjoying your evening sunshine. However I am just back from my holiday so I am very happy for the weather here to be horrible.

I did. I wish I was still there. I wish I could stay there always. Even in the winter when it sometimes gets to -20 centigrade in the day. There's a massive wood burning stove in the gite, it would keep the place toasty. And now, when it is anything up to 35 centigrade and gloriously sunny, there is a lovely pool in the garden and deck with a shady roof and a barbecue. I hate not being on holiday.

I regret missing the deadline for contributions to the Tribute Album, but I don't regret the reason for it, which was my holiday. And I don't have the kind of ego that assumes that it won't be great without me.

Lots of people missed the deadline, and although I am kinda sorry that more regulars didn't make it in there, I wouldn't wanna discount the contributions of those that are in cos they're just as valid. All the submissions are lovely - I got quite emotional reading some of them!
