I'm having one of those days today:

1. Phone signal and 3G have completely died, and Three support are no help, so at the moment I'm paying an expensive contract for a fancy looking brick.
2. Went to the bank machine, found myself overdrawn, almost had heart attack. Thankfully when I called Nationwide it turns out they're duplicating Visa transactions, so I'm not actually, but it does mean I can't get any cash today. Thank God for the credit card.
3. Went for a coffee to make myself feel better and Costa's coffee machine is broken. ARGH

My phone has been cut off today. Which means that somewhere in that big pile of post building up at home must be a phone bill. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, except I also forgot to put my wallet in my trousers today, so can't pay it till I get home tonight. No phone till then. Only worries me on my long journeys too and from work - if I break down tonight it'll be a feck load more hassle. Humph.

I nearly got that far, but with Council Tax. I got a pink letter the other week. Won't be stiffing them for payment again, I don't fancy paying the whole year's tax up front!

Indeed. Make the most of NOT having to deal with this crap, Ryan.

I remember the days, when you got £40 in your hand - you were RICH beyond your wildest dreams, to have that much money.

Now, if we have £400, it's 'cos we've got £600 worth of Bills waiting for us...

I remember my first paycheque, I literally couldn't spend the money quick enough, I had money left over in my bank account at the end of the month. That paycheque is now less than the rent on my house. Ah how times change :?

Like they said, savour it Ryan!

Woke up at 5am with a crazy toothache. Or it was more just like a general ache all over one side of my mouth. Took several strong painkillers, never got back to sleep, I'm now completely addled and knackered. God knows what's caused it. Maybe I was grinding my jaw in my sleep.

So now twice in one week posters in S&V requests have accused us of being "horrible" for not obediently complying to their time-consuming, non-Moyles related requests. I'm pretty pissed off at this point. Looking at the wealth of material I've spent time and effort on on this site - shows, clips, Tedious Links - the thought that new people come here and form that impression of me makes me want to just not bother anymore.

Tell 'em to sort their own freakin sound clips then.

Bah just ignore them and cross them off your Christmas card list. You do a great job of clipping things and looking after the site in general and you know the regular posters appreciate you. Anyone who is rude about asking for clips then just say no, rudeness shouldn't be rewarded.

Not sure the guy did anything wrong there, just sheer impatience and then mouthing off to make them look like the 'hard man'.

I cannot stand cyclists like the guy in that clip. There was no need to say anything to the guy in the van and guy in white van usually equals a workman of some kind and they aren't going to stay quiet whilst a well spoken guy on a bike says "nice one" to them. Some cyclists do a lot worse than what the guy in the van did but they don't have a number plate they think they can do as they please.

I agree, I was one of the few who thought the chairman of Addison Lee was right when he said this:

Interestingly, there's technically no alcohol 'limit' for drunk cycling - the laws around it are very sketchy, and it seems like it's something that is very dangerous. Nowhere near the stigma that's attached with drunk driving - even though you have the potential to make other cars crash, and injure yourself badly.

Why?

Whilst I agree, lots of cyclists do lots of silly things a lot of the time, on this occasion the cyclist was bang to rights! Where did the van driver think he was going?!! Cyclists do have equal right to use the public highway as powered vehicles do.

Its dickheads like that van driver which mean so many of todays cyclists now wear recording equipment - and I don't blame them.

I'd have said something, then when he responded how he did, I'd have taken his wing mirror off. Twunt.
