The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Tomorrow Chris Moyles will have chalked up 15 years continuous service on Radio One, working at least 5 days a week on the daytime line-up. I've done a bit of research and apparantely the only DJ in the history of the station who h as done llonger then that , monday to friday was Simon Bates , who did just under 16 years continuously on the mid morning show.Jo Whiley did 16 years on the weekday line up but wa s only on monday to thursday for the first 3 years of that, and it was in the evenings anyway. It just shows how Chris is probably the best daytime DJ radio One has ever had ,and how badly missed he will be after september if he leaves the station.
Anyway happy anniversary to Chris and the team! Here's to the n ext 15 years wherever that might be!

Back away from this one deadly. Just grab a cold frothy one and leave it the * alone.

Allow me.

Cj. I can call you Cj can't I? Couldn't give a shit either way but thought it'd be civil to ask first. Now I've tried confrontation, ignorance and befriending all to no avail. You're like the hanger-on in a group of friends. The one we all tolerate cause they're the sibling of a decent looking girl who we'd all like to tamper with.

I can no longer see your purpose in our group after a post like that.

You Cj are a monumental minge wound and would kindly ask you to * right off!

Thanks a million.

Yours sincerely,
Scott.

Chris James, I just want to quickly ask you something so please answer. Why on earth have you completely ignored Badgers post? (Which I agree with 100% with by the way) It's as if you have literally nothing better to do then come on this forum and talk utter *. So I would appreciate it if you would just * off elsewhere. Thanks.

yeah but did he mean the next few weeks or something more?

I'm 5000000% sure that when he says he's not done yet, he means that he has time left on his contract. It's really not rocket science.

I am new here..whats with the Chris James abuse? whats so bad about saying happy 15th anniversary to Moyles? he is only stating a fact i presume is correct..lay off and chill out for gods sake its bad enough there's no more CMS from September and no amount of petty bickering is going to change that. Unless someone is openly abusive there is no need for nasty comments towards other members.

I officially retired from saying anything about Chris James a while back so won't direct this at him but those who support him or back him up. If you cannot see the guy is trolling the forum then I have to start questioning the intelligence of the few members that support him. The other point is that as much as some of you seem to get some sort of feeling of joy every time he posts some of us can't stand him but apparently that isn't allowed so it seems a little unfair. You can tell me and other like minded people to ignore him but as I've said before he is often the person who is here within seconds posting the latest official Chris Moyles news and I wouldn't want to miss out in factual information. I have gone on record saying I don't have any issue with Chris James until he give us bogus information and constant speculation. He has been told to stop doing this on a few occasions yet continues to do it on a regular basis.

I don't want to talk about him any more and won't say anything else on the matter from this point onwards but I felt Badger needs some support on this issue. He made his point and Chris James didn't have the decency to reply to it. Instead it appears he told teacher.

For the record I did not report badgers post to anyone. I chose not to reply to it because I can't see anything constructive in carrying on this slanging match. It's off topic and unfair to the other members.Anyone who doesn't like my posts please ignore me and I will do likewise. I hope this ends the matter once and for all

Cj has edited this post completely from what was originally posted and the reason behind my outburst.

That's a sneaky * move.

I had no problem with the original topic, BBQ then thanked him for the info then he pipes up he must be the only one in the whole world who likes/loves Moyles. Basically trolling to get a reaction (which obviously worked).

Sorry Chris, tis your site sir after all but you're wrong on this one.

This is exactly how Twitter feels when anything Daily Mail/Samantha Brick related is trending.

I was looking for a picture that topher posted a few months back about their online strategy to outrage, get attention and then make a profit from the interest. This is what chrisjames frequently does, and the profit comes in the form of how he feels about the attention he receives. I don't really think anyone is 'supporting' him on the forum, more just bored of the constant chatter about him - with banning not an option (as stated by Nicola & Chris)

Sometimes he posts good information (with a poorly written Thread title) and more often than not, he's probably bored and posts something that doesn't break any forum rules but is aimed at getting people angry about his posts - so that people waste their time and energy on posting about him.

Invoking a negative response in someone else can be just as satisfying to some people as getting a positive one (In fact, this post will probably deliver unto him a raging semi that would eclipse a KitKat Chunky). This is what chrisjames often does, and he does it in a way that doesn't technically break any rules (if anything, as Chris said it's goading other people into coming close to breaking forum rules). It seems the only way to stop it is to ignore it. I'm not a fan of chrisjames' posts, but given how much time he gets on the forum from other members - I feel like he's now one of the biggest topics of discussion. He's the Daily Mail of this forum - he should feel a collective responsibility to post at a higher quality, but he doesn't. He goes for the lowest common denominator by trying to get people angry, and the reaction he gets (in his mind) justifies continuing posting like that.

The show we've all listened to almost every day for 9 years is about to finish.

I would describe Mr CJ as the stressball of the forum, the bubblewrap you can't put down. (Or putdown for that matter) But he can be ignored, its just a question of willpower, like quitting ciggies or the drink.

He's got a clever game, its oh so subtle, starting off stating the obvious and finishing with some kind of 'insider' info, I wouldnt be bothering posting this if I thought he was just a bit slow, but I've always thought he's posted reactionary stuff.

I too cannot quit chrisjames, I will continue to read his 'stuff' but I hope he doesn't cheapen our love for a radio show, just as we're bidding it farewell. As stated above, the British press are in the business of writing what the heck they like, and being unconstructive, we've put up with it down the years. Tis all.

I really hope people stop talking about him as that's where the mods are forced to get involved, and he wins.

2 more months, we can do it....
