The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

What's everyones favorite ever interview? There have been a ton of classics, but for me (there are probably a few i'm forgetting about) the one that keeps springing to mind is the Yvette Fielding interview a few years back now. She's one of those perfect guests , never lost for words (bit like will smith, dixon etc.) hilarious laugh and pretty funny.

Also thought all the corden interviews were brilliant as well as Russel Brand's interview.

What's everyone elses?

I agree with stevepro. Yvette Fielding is the stand out interveiw for me. She was lively and up for a laugh right from the get-go. I heard that interveiw on the podcast first, but then I heard the full show and it was just the best of the best not just the best of a bad interveiw. That will always be my favourite interveiw.

I am sure there are loads that I have forgotten, but the first one that springs to mind is the Stephen Fry interview. Peter Kay, Justin Lee Collins, Will Ferrell etc have all provided great moments, but the Fry one sticks in my mind.

The Weird Al interview was my first ever soundclip, I think. I've been a huge fan for years and was going to see him in concert three days after the interview, so I enjoyed it for several reasons!

Noel Gallagher (twice)
Chris Martin - VERY difficult to interview which made it great radio.
Michael Caine
Gordon Ramsay (probably the last interview he did, not sure if clipped)
The Muppets, the logistics behind that were interesting!
Norman Fatboy Slim - Simply cos he rang him up randomly one morning recently - at 7:20, just for a chat. (not sure if clipped)
Richard Hammond - Where they had Dave reconstruct the crash in the studio, with Hammond watching on, so silly.
Matt Lucas David Walliams - This from 2004, recently clipped, a real blast from the past, some great interviews from 2004 which brings me to....
Elton John - "This is my last show' The effing and Jeffing made this a true one-off classic with the megastar.

There'll be others I'm sure, would need to consult archive.

It surprises me that a few people are saying names like Jimmy Carr and Alan Sugar. When I hear that they're on for the 18th time that year (seemingly) I always just think "oh God, not them again"!

Oh, Example was quite good too, just remembered that. I also enjoyed the recent Jon Hamm one but that's mainly cos I lurve him.

The John Hamm interview is an example of my least favourite interview. Someone who is little known and boring makes for awful radio.

Little known? If you watch Mad Men or 30 Rock, he's a huge star.

Mad men is a funny one - a lot of people haven't heard of it, but it is globally popular - and almost everyone I know who has heard of it loves it. I missed the boat for the first 3 seasons, since then I've been forcing my old cult favourites (LOST, Prison Break, Doctor Who) while keeping up with recent TV (Big bang theory, Glee, Modern family, Happy Endings, HIMYM) so haven't had the time to catch up on Mad Men - but it's high on my list to start watching. Big 30 rock fan, kind of the same with that too in terms of public consciousness.

I find the Eddie Izzard interviews to be pretty damn dull if you ask me and whenever he is on, I just couldn't care less and might be due to the fact I don't follow his work whether it was his stand-up days or whatnot. One I quite enjoyed, which I believe was from last year was John Cleese who had a good number of stories to tell and made for rather interesting listening. Michael Caine one was good also. Don't remember the Stephen Fry one so that pretty much sums up what I think of it. Did listen to that Elton John one from 2004 a while back and it was pretty funny with him not knowing he can't swear etc.

In terms of favourites, John Barrowman I always find entertaining whenever he is on especially last time when he was listening to Sam singing and just lost it! Justin Lee Collins I do enjoy as well and haven't heard much from him in a while. Dom's interview with Cameron Diaz was priceless just for the whole smelly finger bits alone. Peter Kay I've enjoyed also! Too many to go through but I am sure I will add more to the list when I go through the archived shows in the future.

He looks like the kind of guy who could make love to you for hours then buy you dinner after. My kind of man.

To be fair, an interview with any deep-voiced American man will always get my vote, even if they're literally just saying "yeah" and "no".

I've seen him live, it was enjoyable. But Slash, Kiefer Sutherland, Matt Le Blanc - all good. Marilyn Manson is also good for that, even though he's an idiot who let Dita Von Teese go.

Sat and today are up
