Bit weird in that the song played when the text came in from that clip in February was the first song they played today for the Golden Hour! Pretty funny clip!

Relatively recent one for me I was 'Marc in Bournemouth', (I don't know the date, but when they started having an integrated message system across twitter etc.) they thought I was whinging about the BBC website message thing asking you to put in your location - I know how easy it is to misunderstand the tone of text, so I didn't take offence.

It wasn't me but I believe yuds was personally mentioned in the marathon show.in the Sabina show. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I also do know the wired texts they got that Dave mentioned o. The marathon show. Wasn't it something like go on small cheese. Or something like that. I found out that it was a work.collegue I used to.know that there was a small fan group who text it in. And they contributed something like 20 quid each if it got read out and questioned what was going on.

Also, thanks to the amazing people on this here Forum, I got a wedding card signed by the entire team.

Is this the clip your looking for? Seems to be the only focus group piece http://chrismoyles.net/soundvault/sound ... ileid=2263

Was a such a fantastic day heading down to Yalding House, the team working on the show are a fantastic bunch. Still so grateful to them for picking us. Pity the two word tango with listeners never saw the light of day though :D .

If any of the focus group gang have pics from that day could they private message to me? My camera phone wasen't up to much back then!

I really do consider myself to have been very lucky to have appeared on the show several times. I'd been a massive Moyles fan for years, and I'd always dreamt of having some small involvement in the best radio show in the world and in December 2008 that dream came true when I was chosen to appear on Car Park catchphrase.

I was on the competition for 11 straight days and only had to bow out when the team and Car Park catchphrase took a break going into the year 2009. It was such a laugh chatting to people I'd regard as "friends" even though I'd never met them! I had various local and national newspaper articles written about my appearances and it really couldn't have gone any better. I bowed out with Chris saying I was one of the best ever callers they had ever had, and that meant a hell of a lot to me!

The appearances didn't stop there as early in the January, the team did a link about an appearance I made on the football phone-in 606, it really is the weirdest feeling hearing your own voice on the radio, whilst you are half awake and half asleep!

In June the team decided to come to my hometown of Stoke on Trent for a karaoke evening! In the run-up to the evening I appeared on the phone to publicise the evening, I was honoured that they remembered me! I did a Tedious link drop (you know the one, Dave that tedious link was rubbish) that morning and it was a privilege when Chris used it a few days later!

I was invited along to be the VIP guest that evening, and eventually got the chance to meet Chris & the team! They gave me a big build up and the opportunity to belt out Delilah the anthem of my favourite football team to a venue jam packed with nearly 800 people there! An amazing evening!

If that wasn't good enough I was also invited to the BBC in Stoke the next morning to spend the morning with the team, as they broadcasted live to the nation / world. It was incredible being a listener for years and years and then to be there watching the show, and then being introduced on air! I then visited various landmarks around Stoke on Trent with Aled, a very, very surreal morning! But the best!

Various other mentions (all recorded and saved!) followed. It's just the best feeling driving to work, and then having the radio 1 breakfast show presenter mention your name!

For me though the best was yet to come when in December 2009, I was given the opportunity to giveaway some Chris Moyles show calendars to the people of Stoke on Trent. The couple of links just went really, really well, I even laughed back to myself listening back to them (and that had never happened before.)

To have been given the primetime slot, and for people to send me messages saying that was some of the best radio ever, it just made it even better! To top it all off, Chris said the next morning he had received a text from Davina, saying she loved the link, this was Davina McCall, my favourite TV presenter after the work she had done with Big Brother! Amazing!

Sorry to have rambled on for so long, but my appearances on the Breakfast show will go down as some of the best memories of my life! How many people can say they have watched / appeared in their favourite show!?

If I ever need a pick me up, I've got 33 audio clips of mentions on the Chris Moyles Show to choose from and instantly I begin to smile.....The Chris Moyles Show.....thank you very much you will be missed LOTS!!

As i was reading down your post I was wondering were you Rob from Stoke :D Thanks for such a great post.

You were fantastic on the show especially CPC and particularly remember a day that made dubious references to certain fast food outlets! Was there another good installment where you got disturbed in your car by a chopper or did I just imagine it?

Your definetly worthy of another feature on air before the show closes!

I texted in once asking why Lady Gaga can say "hooker prostitute wench" uncensored but Jessie J can't say "ho". And something about equal rights for prostitutes. It led to a quip about garden hoes from Dave I think. And Aled explaining that "ho" is one of the derogatory terms they're not allowed to say on air, after Chris said it at least twice.

I haven't had a text read out since.

Was that quite recently, or was I listening to an old show? Cos I've definitely heard that really recently. I'm wondering if it might have been the same show as the 'Dave drops his chips' clip, I was listening to that at the weekend.

Echo, echo, echo....

Hulla Rob from Stoke, knew it was you as soon as you mention SoT.... Good man.

I've been mentioned twice, once on the Golden Hour & the second time for the clip which I'm sure many of you may remember of Dom reading the news back in 1999 on their afternoon show "Brains *cough* and beauty", always made me smile that they played that clip. I did send in some more clips since that show but they obviously weren't up to scratch as that clip

Chris mentioned me once by name while talking about Twitter. My daughter also got a mention, although not by name, in the Weird Al interview. She was the 10 year old who loves "Why Does This Always Happen To Me". Coincidentally Chris also read my text this morning - I was the fool who suggested Dirty Doughnut could have been a Michael Jackson song...

I sent an audio message in for tulisa which Aled thought sounded creepy both chris and tulisa started doing creepy voices before she relised it was me and kept telling him off. She also made him apologise to me. I found the whole thing hilarious.

Sat and today are up
