Please say at least Dave is staying with Chris?! It was one blow to hear the breakfast show is to end but an even bigger one to hear that the team won't follow Chris to a new time slot!! Totally gutted. Is this the teams decision or an R1 one?

When Chris covered for Greg, he was excellent, but that would never be the sort of show Chris would choose to do. I think he actually said afterwards that he couldnt do that all the time.

My feelings about the show ending have been of real sadness, but if Dave doesnt go with him that really is the end of an era and I would be gutted

For me Christmas has always been the absolute highlight of the show. The show has always been fantastic around Christmas and getting everyone in the Christmas spirit with old songs, parodies, games, presents, lots of interviews etc etc

Is there anyway that you could get the whole team together in December for a handful of CM Show Christmas Podcasts?

Good thinking, at least a podcast - perhaps an hour-long one of unheard Christmassy material including the song about the donkey if possible. Christmas is not far from September and what with the withdrawal symptoms kicking in by then I think it would be very nice for people to get one last Yuletide hurrah from a show they thought really had gone. Would make folk feel all warm n fuzzy inside, like.

Dave is part of the team therefore he must be going . I would guess its a management descision. I increasingly now think Chris will just leave Radio One altogether in september. Why accept an offer of a saturday show for one year ,sittign in a studio on his own playing records then be dumped in jan 2014 at the end of the contract? Plus he's too busy doing other stuff. I think thats probably the right move for him career wise , even if we might want him to stay. Better to go out at the top.It's hard to see Chris playing 2nd fiddle to the other DJs. It would be like the King demoted to being a sevant or something!

IF he was contracted to do breakfast until 2014 then why wouldn't he stay at R1? - presumably they'd still have to pay him (it's happened before) Breakfast DJ's don't always flounce off and leave the station once they've left the flagship show. In fact they can stay around for years afterwards.

Maybe we would stop assuming who's going where and with who, and wait for some more official announcements.

Aye, the more they talk about it, the more I believe Chris has known this would happen, at some point this year, when he signed that new contract 'till '14.

Leaving the Brekkie show doesn't mean leaving R1 all together. I jus' wish the announcement for where he IS going would be made - would certainly put my mind at ease more.

As I know Aled does read this thread, I would just like to say a big thank you. The Chris Moyles show never changed my life, it became a part of it. And when that happens, you do tend to take things for granted - 'you dont know what you've got until its gone' etc, and thats how I'm feeling now.

You guys genuinely feel like friends, and life just wont be the same waking up with out you lot banging on about everday life. Everything you do, you make the listeners feel SO involved with, and thats what it makes it so special.

I just hope the whole team realise just how much they are loved and just how genuinely upset we (the listeners/morons) are with end fast approaching. I wish all of the team the very best for the future, life just wont be the same without you guys on the radio!

Can I apologise for what I said earlier.I wasn't thinking. I realise that Aled is very busy right now post announcement and not having the best day.It's entirely up to him whether he chooses to reply to our questions or not and I really appreciate the fact that he does. I didn't realise that he had his car vandalised today which I think is disgraceful and I hope whoever did it are caught and punished ASAP.Sorry!

Just like to say my own thanks and good luck to Aled in your future career. I remember when you first joined the show and all the stuff they made you do!

I'm guessing there will be far too many requests for the final shows, but I really think there should be round up of the marathon show. Some of those shows were spectacular. The one with Kissy Sellout will stay with me forever! Were you in the studio when that was happening? My only other requests would be to hear the Treasure Hunt theme after tedious and to have Rachel pop in to say a few words - I think a lot of listeners have fond memories of her.

I'm looking forward to hearing Chris on his own especially if its a late night show. The ones when he stood in for Greg were really refreshing.
