The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

All these journalists who keep accusing Chris Moyles of homophobia or racism etc must be really stupid.Do they really think that the BBC would allow someone to present the flagship show on one of their national networks , listened to by over 7 million people , for nearly a decade if they thought for one second he was homophobic or racist? Get real !

It would be good if he did, but he does have to be careful since he is under contract with the BBC till january 2014 and may want to renew it beyond that !

If I was Aled or Scott Mills I would find Stonewalls approach offensive, basically they are saying that Aled and Mills are happy to work with someone who is homophobic, or are too scared to say anything against Moyles being homophobic. Moyles isnt homophobic, I know that, Aled and Mills know that.

I have listened to Chris since 1997 and he is not homophobic (sorry for spelling). If he was he would have a go at Aled (who is gay)he teases him but in a good way. Chris is a sweet guy and makes people laugh. True some people don't like him but it's in their own opinon. . The Also he has mentioned Will a few times saying he misses him and when Friday's Child was on said loved the song and was Will best work. Also Chris loves doing parodies he did one for Westlife called Wusslife. If every DJ was the same be boring.

Daily Mail have always had a grudge about him and they were the paper who had the horrible article about Stephen Gately death that got 20,000 complaints. They were bored and made up this story. Most even all of it is not true.

According to Nick himself too. I've read articles where he's mentioned male celebrities he fancies and talked about not being able to find time for a boyfriend.

Excellent point. At the very least it would be detrimental to the BBC's brand image.

Some of the most recent articles, particularly some of the online Daily Mail ones have been some of the most vile pieces of journalism I've ever read, clearly written by lazy journalists who've never taken the time to listen properly or read his books.

How many times over the years have you read stuff in the papers where Chris was referred to as "tubby", "roly poly" or "fat" for example? (obviously they can't use those anymore after his recent weight loss!) Why should it be acceptable for our media to use derogatory comments like that against anyone?

Chris has never really had a proper right to reply where the papers are concerned and can only really respond through his own show, then when he does he's considered to be having "on air rants" and labelled a "motormouth"

The media as a whole need to lay off and give the guy a break.

Sexism, gay-baiting, crudery and bragging have been his stock-in-trade for 15 years

That (and racism) has been the Mail's stock-in-trade for a * lot longer than that.

SAV1OUR wrote:Does the readership of the Mail only exist to remember the 50s and 60s?

As far as I can tell from people I trust more than the Mail, the 50s and 60s that the Mail remembers never existed in the first place.

Emmy wrote:I must admit that some of the comments under their stories are very funny, in fact they're often a better read than the actual articles themselves.

Frankly the comments section is usually depressing beyond belief. Occasionally you see the right ones voted 'up' and 'down', but quite often the odious, racist, sexist, disgusting ones are voted up and the ones shouting those people down are voted down.

Paul Dacre is a *.
