Oh yeah, great in it he was too....

Good stand up set:

But that's where you will find Suzie Sweet and Penny Pocket, in the Red house. Its their shop. Archie lives at the castle. Which is the only building used in the series that isn't in Tobermory.

He brushes on his privileged lifestyle in the comedy clip...

Much of his comedy is about that, I find it very funny. Simon Evans is the same - came on Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow and his opening line was "sorry if you can't understand me - in case you're having trouble placing my accent, it is in fact educated."

Yeah, he is funny too.

Seeing as we are sticking up Stand Up links, thought I'd pop one up of my favourite comedians at the moment, Louis CK.

If any of you have 3 mins to spare, please devote that time to watching this clip -

Not very SFW, so best lower the volume a smootchin.

I thought Chris had a tough time of it. As has been mentioned, the audience were * appalling. Russ Abbot should've been there to help it out a bit.

Quite enjoyed some of the lesser known acts. Love Jason Byrne. Andrew Maxwell has been on the scene for years now and I tend to like his stuff. Mark Watson really isn't the guy to be putting on first and I didn't find any of the ladies funny.

FlyingBadger reviews shit.

(Insert punctaution mark if inclined)

I just hope he doesn't do too much telly with the Beeb cos they wouldn't know what to do with him.

CMQN I hope is not dead, as this reminded me that he can do really well on telly if in the correct light.

That said, it was different, and it's always good to see him popping up here there and everywhere!

And yes the audience were handpicked so carefully they nearly ran out of time to find funny people to go on stage. Just need him appealing to Joe Public, he's no McIntyre and nor should he be, but dry humour has it's place and it wasn't there, which is a shame.

I thought they stopped making new episodes but they still repeat old ones. Not being a particular regular viewer of CBeebies I wouldn't know much though.

It's a shame to see him go from Quiz Night to Love Machine and now this... Seems like a downward spiral. A couple of the acts were okay, but it wasn't really that great. He was fine, but it felt like a poor man's Live at the Apollo.

Funny female stand up comediennes are rare things indeed. Victoria Wood is brilliant, but you see less and less of her doing stand up these days sadly. Of the current bunch, Sara Millican makes me laugh a lot - couple of others are mildly funny, but I wouldn't pay to see them.

Sarah Millican is the funniest woman in years. I also like Ava Vidal.

Yeah, the sketch about her daughter is funny, if slightly close to the mark.

I thought they where all below par. That girl who thought it was funny to go on about her nan over-reacting to minnor things. It was an amusing story that made me smerk but it was not a stand-up comics joke.
The entire show felt flat but I do have a highlight.
I don't think the editors noticed it but as that woman comic (In the 'comedy' Dave sense) who was trying to be funny when she ripped off a Jasper Carrott joke about women doing the "what I know of" joke in terms of number of kids they've had. As she finneshed the joke you heard "Rubbish" echo round the room.

It's strange that Chris hasnt mentioned anything about that talent show he did for Sky One.Its being repeated on sky 2 right now in fact. Do you think he might be a bit embarrassed about it?
edit: Just watched some of it.Its awful! The main host Amanda Byrne (whoever she is)just stands and shouts and poor Chris wa s like a spare peg with nothing to say or do.No wonder he hasn't mentioned it!
