I wonder if it'll be on Freeview 301. I've got Virgin Media, but I'd rather not have the annoying Menu icon in the corner.

It should be. The Red Button service is now limited to one channel on all platforms. And just checking the listings for 301 now, it is showing England v Sweden "with extra commentary options". I'll be recording this.

I've got a V HD box (no TiVo), and I can never seem to record anything from Virgin Media, even though the suggestion is that you can record using either TiVo or V HD. So I don't think you can. I can only record because I have a DVD recorder.

What about the HD situation? Would either of the Freeview 301 / Virgin Media red button stream be HD? I'm guessing that Freeview might not be, and Virgin Media might be.

we can only hope the weather at the england game is betetr than it is at the france-ukraine match. This is pretty amazing stuff happening now.They're worried that players might be struck by lightning so the match has been abandoned ! I've never seen anything like thi s in my life!

Yeah I know! I just hope the Ukraine match doesn't restart and then conflict with the England match. Who knows, maybe the BBC would change the red button to be the other match, which would cancel Moyles. Or they might use BBC 3 I suppose.

I think they'll wait till the France match is finished before they start the England game. If the France match doesn't go ahead today then I assume the England game will start at the scheduled time.Either way hopefully it won't affect the Moyles/dave commentary.If it does then hopefully they'll be allowed to cover another match instead

Why would it be cancelled when the delayed match is being shown on another channel? Someone has already pointed this out.

The England match is.clear. no rain.
The England match will kick off as usual. They have a European audience to cater too. They won't delay England due to the late finnish of the France match. Simple.

It's a UEFA thing.They won't let a group match start till the preceding match is finished.It has nothing to do with what tv channels are covering it.Anyway the France-Ukraine match is finally underway so let's hope the England match wil be unaffected

So your saying that uffa. Will delay a world wide coverage of the England match because that have to Finnish a match.

All world wide tv companies has a time slot for the England.match. it will cost uffa too much money to allow tv companies to over run on there coverage.

A similar thing in formula 1. If there us a stalled car. It used to take 15 minutes to restart. Itvwas changed a few years ago so only a new formation lap is made. It was due to tv companiescomplaining.

The only way you can record the match is on freeview. You can not record res.button coverage on virgin. Or sky. Or freesat (unless you record.from.the.stream on the.non freesat mode)

Aled hinted that PIP will only be on the BBC R1 web site. Someone else try to cap the R1 feed. I will attempt here, but it's questionable if it will work. I'm happy to do an encode or whatever if you can cap the match, ianpwilliams. I can also help you share the audio-only.
