The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Matt Le Blanc had a sexy voice though, so I didn't care that much what he was saying. I love those deep rumbling American accents...he could just sit there and say "yeah" and "uh-huh" all morning as far as I was concerned.

Given how they talked extensively before he came in about how he tends to be like that and that it might not come across well on the radio, they clearly knew that however great he was to actually be with, he wasn't likely to come across well on the radio. He didn't come across well on the radio, and they then spent the next show talking about how it was a really good interview, even though it didn't come across well on the radio...

Moyles seems to think that if the guest talks about the thing they are there to promote that the listener wont be interested, therefore he talks about anything other than that subject (usually himself) for most of the time.

Chris is far better at interviews than he used to be, but he still isnt great. He loses sight of the fact that the listener, quite often, will actually think that if a guest has been invited onto the show that they may as well hear what they have to say and have to promote.

These things should be about give and take. In return for appearing on the show to promote their product the guest should play along with the show, but the show should also give the interviewee their time to say what they have to say as well. Moyles doesn't always strike that balance well.

It did feel like they barely talked about Episodes at all. Which is a great show. But I didn't really register that at the time cos I was kinda hypnotised by his voice. Maybe I'll clip the interview and see if I can concentrate on the actual words he's saying this time.

Like someone said about cheryl being dull - that's the brilliant thing about radio, you can stick her on magazines, papers and adverts but in Moylesland only your personality can sell you, no room to hide or be false, stripped bear.

It seemed every time Keith spoke Chris was worried he would swear -

"Oh thats right (don't swear)"
"Wow! (I don't know what he's going to say next)",
"There ya go (don't be too rude)"

Yes, he did seem nervous about that. One other thing I did notice was that Moyles pulled Keith up on taking the piss out of Evan Davies and his wonky eye, when Moyles himself has made the most of that gag himself over the past couple of years.

Maybe that has been added to list of stuff they cant talk about on the BBC any more?

I don't think Keith Lemon was ever at risk of swearing on the show. He's been in this business long enough now. I think he knows when to control himself.

Surely that was on after the watershed anyway? And I'm sure he realises The Chris Moyles Show is live.

He's a fictional character, the actor playing him would have been well aware of the swearing before he'd 'been in the business long enough'.

He sounds sexier now than he did in Friends. He's much deeper. Slash and Marilyn Manson have the same sort of thing going on, and when Kiefer Sutherland was on he was kinda similar as well.
