The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Starting from Easter Monday
4:00am Dev
6:30am The Chris Moyles Show with Scott Mills
10:00am Sara Cox
1:00pm Nick Grimshaw
4:00pm Greg James

10pm Annie Mac

I'm disappointed that Radio 1 seem to have gone away from doing something different on Bank Holidays as this is just a normal cover schedule - I'd have got either dj's that you don't normally hear, the new additions much of or doing something different for a one off

Radio 2 have got a show with Annie Nightingale - this should have been on R1 imo

Confirmation that despite moving to the earlier time slot Scott is still the regular stand in for Chris when he's on holiday.I expect he will continue to be for the rest of Moyles time on breakfast.Nick Grimshaw will probably be the regular stand in for Scott from now on.Maybe Greg James too

I listen to old shows on my mp3 player on my way to work. I pick one that's from around the same time of year and day of the week (so you don't get them talking about how cold it is while you're sweating in the sun, or cheering cos it's Friday when it is in fact Monday). But I always have an issue with the bit of the morning while I'm getting ready to go out - booting up my PC and finding the right show just takes up too much time and effort while I'm half asleep. I usually just end up getting ready in silence, which is weird.

I think Sara or Vernon is doing the 2nd week of Moyles holiday. Dave is back that week so it must be one of them

edit-i was wrong-Scotts doing both weeks.dave is sitting in the office twiddling his thumbs for a week. How wil the nation survive 3 weeks without Comedy Dave ont radio!

My guess: Comedy Murs.

I fear he is the most likely replacement too, but perhaps we're wrong. I've just seen that Aled has tweeted

'Had a meeting today with the person filling in for Dave while he's off on hols next week. *VERY* excited and a little nervous :)'

Now as Murs has filled in before and Aled has met him several times, would he be 'VERY' excited and nervous about this?

Yeah, sounds like not-Murs, then -- which is probably a good thing, as Olly was funny as the village idiot for a while, but it rapidly became tiresome.

I just just read that tweet and thought exactly the same thing. Olly has done the show before so what is there to be very excited about? It's not as if he hasnt done the show before or particularly exciting anyway.

If I had to have a stab in the dark I would suggest it might be John Bishop. I dont know what his schedule is like, or if he will be in the country next week, but I will go for him.

John Bishop would be fantastic. He's obviously funny, but is also a ruddy great bloke.

I also want to hear more about the "I didn't like you before I met you" story. That was a surprise.

I would definitely prefer him to Olly Murs. I didnt like the week dedicated to his challenge but that had nothing to do with any dislike of him. He is funny and, as you say, a good bloke so I hope it is him.

My first guess was the same as most of you but after that tweet and a bit of re-thinking...

We have to look at the obvious reasons for the fill-in saying yes in the first place.
1: They are a friend of the show.
2: They have something to promote (Murs had his album/single to promote last year).
3: Aled said he was nervous. Is this because they hav'nt done alot of radio in there carreer or because they are a brave choice in terms of what this person is known for doing (Style of comedy comming straight to my mind).

Going by that, I would say Jimmy Carr. He's on tour (When isnt he?). He's a friend of the show and his comedy style is a tad adult. But it could also be John Bishop. :-)

Oh that's not a bad shout. I have absolutely no interest in F1 but I quite enjoy his segments on air cos he just seems like a nice chap.

Oh I highly doubt it, but it's quite nice to idly speculate about these things.
