The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

9 till 10 was always my favorite slot, tedious, then ramble, then get through some playlist bilge then CPC. Now its degraded to tedious maybe twice a week if your lucky, more records are being played, and CPC that's seems half arsed and having callers hanging around well past there sell by date or as what happened today which barely got started then ran out of time, plus Fridays Golden Hour that I don't listen to anymore on its 13 week same song loop (second half is slightly better).

Why is this, is this management getting involved asking for more records to played or is Chris getting bored with the features, I just don't know what's going on.

I have never been a fan of a strong structure to the Moyles show, but it is getting to the point where there is no structure, or even a framework to it at all.

Classical Class isnt a feature, it is just a glorified background jingle. Tedious Link we sometimes get, sometimes we don't and CPC hasn't been played properly in ages.

Quite often the benefit of a feature isnt about the feature itself, it's more that they provide moments of punctuation to the show. The show is just rambling with no direction at the moment, and the re-introduction of the regular features would help get it back on track in my opinion.

I thought Celeb Raspberry was a poor game because it was impossible to guess who the celeb was on the clip alone, but it was a bit of structure to the show and there were frequently entertaining callers too. That, or something similar should be brought back.

The Musical love/hate game was a brilliant feature that they gave up on far too easily.

The show at the moment is going through a bit of a lull for a few reasons and one of them is the lack of regular, staple features being done properly. I never thought I would say this, but I think the show could do with more music if they arent going to do the features properly. I would take more music with shorter, punchier links than long rambling links where nothing is being said of any consequence with few laughs and old stories/jokes are rehashed yet again.

I am basing this on listening to older shows where the show was a bit snappier with fewer voices wanting to be heard and how good Moyles sounded on his own covering for Greg James last week. I think we have all loved the freestyle nature of the show - I know I do- but it has gone a bit too far for me lately.

* Tedious, where are the parodies? The only time any hint of any new ones is mentioned is when Chris talks about trying to get Plan B to guest on a parody of one of his songs. I get the impression they're saving at the best ones for a money-spinning second album, which I really hope isn't the case, Chris and Dave really shouldn't be weakening the show by saving good material for an album.

I think I agree with that.

Its high time we knew, where the heck are the parodies!?

Lana del ray - there must be rich pickings here, and didn't I hear sean paul back on the scene the other day? - A prize clown if ever there was, there's a start.

do you think maybe the lack of parody recently is because the big labels dont want him doing it ?
i'd hate if this was the case , but I know they've had some form with legal issues etc.,

Agree HARD. I thought "this has some miles in it" when I first heard it, but then it just stopped.

Tedious always worked better when coupled with Ramble, now all we get is the outro with "coming up today on Radio 1".

And yes, make CPC what it was before!

TL;DR: I don't like change. Back to 2007 please!

Today they did "coming up on Radio 1" at 9am - no other guest or feature in progress - that pretty much confirms to me that Chris is no longer bothered about doing Tedious, at least for the moment if not permanently. It made me kinda sad, I'll admit. Tedious is like my little pet project.

Girls Going to Football only worked on Saturday mornings though.

Yeah, but most people wouldn't be leaving at that time in the morning for an evening kick off.

As Andy has pointed out, you clearly lack commitment. A 19:45 kick off leaves exactly seven and a half hours of pre-match dwinking time.

I haven't been to a football match for at least four years... I think. When was it that MK Dons won the Johnstones Paintpot Piss Pot Trophy at Wembley?

If you said this to me this time last year, I would totally agree but I think over the past several months or so, it has lost a bit of its charm especially when long-running features like CPC & Tedious seem to be ignored now. I find myself listening to the current shows less and more of the 04 shows, which I find a lot better than what has been done this year thus far.
