I like Nick Grimshaw.I really hope he is given a slot on daytime permanently.Maybe if Chris finishes breakfast at the end of his current contract he could m ove to the 1-4 slot and Scott Mills could be moved to weekends(probably the 10am-1pm slot)..That would allow Nick to get his own daytime slot. This iis a potential line up from january 2014 I think..

4am-Dev

6.30am-Greg james

10am-Fearne Cotton

1pm-Chris Moyles

4pm-Nick Grimshaw

7pm-Zane lowe

10pm-Huw Stephens

what do you think?

I can't imagine Chris taking such a demotion.

Mark & Lard did, they went from nights, to breakfast to afternoons, where they did better there than Breakfast, I for one wouldn't mind Chris back on in the afternoon once he decides he's had enough of Breakfast

Thats a bit harsh.I think this week proved he can turn his hand to anything and might want to stick around to do afternoonsor weekends for a couple of years before moving on.Of course he might want to leave altogether and go off to radio 5 live or something. It's up to him.I do think its unlikely that they'll have Chris and Scott both on the weekday line up after 2014 though,so Scott will probably have to move on if Chris stays.

Maybe he will do a couple of weekend shows after breakfast finishes, but after 17 years at 1FM, it might be time to go. And maybe he'll want to go out on a high point after ten glorious years on the breakfast show.

I can't see him on 5 Live, music radio is more his thing. Or maybe his TV career will have taken off by then and he'll be doing more of that.

M&L never wanted breakfast though, bear in mind they were so worried about it that they asked for (and got) a 100% pay rise to take the job, and even then they lasted all of 7 months - afternoons were their natural home. Everyone knows that Chris considered breakfast to be the pinnacle of his career at R1 even before he got there, and I really think he'd see going back to something like afternoons a real step down.

I would have thought that too,but he sounded so eager and happy to do Gregs show last week that I think he would accept another show on the station .He loves Radio One more than he's prepared to admit I think ,and when the time comes he will find it very hard to leave.

Sat and today are up
