The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

I think the gist is that :

An uninformed member of the public, may dislike Chris Moyles because they bow to media opinion

But one who dislikes Chris Moyles may not be uninformed - and it's arrogant to refer to everyone who doesn't like Moyles as being 'uninformed'

(but it's probably just a semantic thing y'all).

Are you telling me that no one's ever criticised Chris Moyles without every listening to the show, at least in your experience? That to me is uninformed.

No, of course not. That would be silly. I'm just saying that during my infrequent visits here I see the odd person saying "blah blah blah they hate Chris because of uninformed opinions blah blah". I just wanted to state that, although yes a lot of people don't like Chris due to what they hear. A lot of people have listened to the show and given up due to not liking the guy.

As I said in another thread, I listen to him a lot and the show is great. But, I have my moments where I think "alright Chris, time to stop talking".

I used to try to defend him but it's difficult.

I like him and the team and a lot of his humour is better when you have been a long time listener. There are lots of in jokes and references.

I think that John Culshaw's impression of him in his last series is how most uninformed people perceive Chris, as a fat unshaven rude oaf.

Can't remember the last time a hater arrived on these boards to slag him off then leave, its not all bad, just the media being their usual selves.

I'm glad I don't bother with guardian comment sections though, the snobbery is pathetic.

Sorry, quite a late reply but anyway:

You are right, it is sometimes quite a superficial friendship and I just let it slip. On a brighter site, I introduced my crush to Moyles and Sams singing yesterday and she loved it and had a good laugh. And even if she didn't I don't think she would have judged me for it. So that's some success :D
