CMQN has certainly improved over time , and while probably its not going to win a mainstream National Television Award , it should've definitely been at least nominated for a British Comedy Award in Quiz Show category.

His TV career will take off good and proper soon anyway , you mark my words.

no it shouldn't and no it won't. CMQN is alright but is not one of the funniest or cleverest things about. Chris is brilliant on the radio and is improving on TV. But when on TV he appears very strained

I agree. I watch it and enjoy it well enough, but I get the feeling I wouldn't bother with it if it wasn't Chris presenting.

Surely you could say that about the radio show too , though ? I wouldn't bother with it if it wasn't Chris presenting.

I don't like the new foot-piano bit in CMQN, they should bring back the record player, that worked much better...

Maybe, but that's harder to say. I can't think of any other radio presenter who I would imagine could do the exact same radio show as Chris, but I can easily think of other TV presenters who could do Quiz Night - Alan Carr, Jimmy Carr, Jason Manford, etc.

If he didnt present his radio show then it would'nt be his show. Feel free to blast me from long distances but I am right.

Exactly. Whereas Quiz Night would still be Quiz Night.

Ok, so I seem to be the only one who took from the NTA chat that Chris was heavily hinting that not only would he be at the awards, but that he would be giving out an award too and so would have the opportunity to have some sort of encounter with Dermot on-stage. I don't believe for a minute that he wasn't invited (have you not seen how far down they scrape the bottom of the Z-lister barrel with their invited guests at the NTA's every year?), and I highly doubt that he would ever 'crash the stage' at any televised event. All will be revealed tonight anyway.

Not quite the only one. All these people really ought to know Moyles better.

Phew, I couldn't believe that nobody else had made my point already and appeared to have taken what he said at face value. Watching the awards now, it was an 'interesting' opening number from Brucie and Ant and Dec!

Has Chris fallen out with Dermot then, I thought he got on well with him?

I was going to say the same thing Nicola. That was a bit of an of an odd award I thought, Gary Barlow getting an award for some charity work at The National Television Awards? Similarly odd was David Walliam's award earlier. What's the point? I will add that I'm not a big Barlow (so smug) or Walliams (extremely creepy) fan, so I wouldn't be getting too excited about whatever awards they won.

I wonder why Chris is having so much trouble getting his tv stuff respected or supported. Its like the whole industry is against him.Quiz Night should have got at least one nomination by now. He's obviously much better on the radio than on tv but he has got more confident and comfortable on tv than he was 3 years ago .On balance though I think he will have to accept his future is in radio and not as a big tv star, and that's the way it should be I think

I've always thought his immediate future would be TV. After the breakfast show is over , anywhere else would just be a step down. (Radio 2? I just dont see it myself..)

Just give him a damn chatshow already , would suit him down to the ground , his interview skills are second to none these days.

I have to disagree. Offhand I could name at least ten better interviewers than him, and much as I love Chris and think he's an amazingly talented radio presenter, his tv presenting skills are average at best.

Quiz Night is average at best. If I wasn't a Chris Moyles fan I don't think I'd like it.

What a ridiculous awards ceremony. The bit that I saw involved some shit with Keith Lemon getting awarded best panel show over the might of Have I Got News for You, Mock the Week and QI. Clearly it's kids who vote in these. Also it was billed as the biggest night in British TV at the start (or something like that) - surely that's the BAFTA TV awards.

I don't see what difference that makes, The Only Way is Essex is a highly viewed digital TV programme, doesn't make it any good. The fact is Have I Got News for You in particular is an important show at the moment - as I said on Twitter, decent political satire has rarely been as important as it is at the moment.
