The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Was just reading Chris' Wikipedia page for the first time.
Is there really any need for such a big chunk of it to be about his various "Controversies"
Sure he's had a few few , and even thats open to debate, but I just feel like they are overdoing it slightly.

Chris has certainly changed his broadcasting style as he has aged, but if you hark back multiple years, a lot of his show was surrounded by controversy - pushing the boundaries, so to speak.

It doesn't help my vendetta to make people realize Chris isnt just a fat, loudmouth, arrogant, controversy-seeking word-i-probably-cant-say-on-forum . People just don't understand. :(

They don't understand, but you just have to accept it. I work with almost exclusively gay people and I know they think he's a homophobe - I'd like to hope that they know I wouldn't listen to someone who was, but at the same time, I can tell the way they react when his name is mentioned that they dislike him. There's no point me making the "but what about Aled" argument - I just don't worry about it.

upon further reading , it seems the majority, if not all, of these so-called controversies are things that have taken wildly out of context. I don't even remember the Auschwitz thing.

Yeah, they've mostly been blown out of all proportion, but whaddya gonna do? tis the way of the world. You'd think those who don't like, wouldn't listen, but again, taint that simple. there is a culture of people complaining about stuff they've not even seen/heard and would be blissfully unaware of otherwise. We call these 'Mail readers' or 'scum', for short.

I remember Auschwitz.

I suppose to many people that's what he is most famous for. I never mention to anyone at school that I listen because they all seem to hate him.

Thing is people don't actually know why they hate him, when you ask them they say he's sexist, racist, homophobic, blah, blah, blah, and yet whilst he was a bit sexist back in 2000 he no longer is & he certainly isn't these days, as for the other two, well that's what comes from a society that now believes everything that is wrote in the sodding papers these days :(

I think the section is relevant on there. Most of them are blown out of proportion as you say and it should be balanced out in that case. Some people I know, wrongly believe that he's homophobic and actually like him for that(!)
