I use Google Chrome so that helped, cheers.

I managed, but I like it better now I can tidy things up that used to bug me before.

I prefer it now.

but back then, the state of the forum was outside her sphere of influence - now it's in her control, so to go against her natural reaction would be unnatural to her. no?

Andy, you always put it better than I can. Evidently your brain works better before lunchtime than mine does. It's almost 12noon and I still feel like I can barely form a sentence.

Well, that answers the second point but not the first.

i'd guess because she's doing it for herself as much as for us - and she's not being held to strict guidelines so does it how she sees best. plus it's best to put a bit of your personality into your work.

unless you're a wacky gynaecologist.

edit. sorry, i seem to be speaking for nic now :?

In case anyone cares, I liked the forum before. I also like it now.

You'll get into trouble for that if you aren't careful.

Britain's Got (No) Talent is being held in my building today. There are hordes of audience members outside in pens being made to cheer at nothing at random intervals. It's very annoying.

I love the idea that the audience has to be kept in cages. Makes perfect sense to me.

They don't have tops on like a cage, but they are like big pens, kept a safe distance from the doors. Presumably in case one of them jumps Ant & Dec. It's raining too, so it doesn't look like fun out there.

You are in Manchester. Of COURSE its raining.

And why aren't they all at school? The truancy officer could have a field day if they turned up I reckon!

Probably! This is an email we received to the info inbox the other day:

I am very sorry to bother you. I have 2 tickets for the recording of Britains Got Talent 1pm on Friday. This may sound like a really weird question, but my friend and I are massive fans of Ant and Dec. We were wondering if we could try and meet them by waiting at the stage door. Please could you let me know if waiting would be permitted on Friday or would it be restricted? Also, if it is allowed would you be able to give me a rough idea of what time you would be expecting them to arrive, so we know when to wait from? I know that’s a bit much, but if you could provide me with any help or advice I would be extremely grateful.

Oh dear.

Still though, no need to act like a crazy person. Emails like that just end up passed round various departments for us all to laugh at.

I think they have done brilliantly well. Created themselves out of bugger all and invented a market niche which never existed before, and then provided the filling. They've done very well. They're really funny too.

I dunno if they're still out there now. Haven't heard any cheering for a while...
