The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Following on from Ask Aled I was wondering how The Chris Moyles Show may end because I know the team and fans will want to go out with a bang and there's so much potential to have a big party looking back but I'd imagine the BBC would want to be careful that the successor has something to build from and the first show isn't like after the marathon show where Greg James is like "err we cant really beat that we might as well just go home"

I think it should be a show packed with all the material Chris n Al know would normally get 'em both sacked....

I'd text in giving £1 to the fund to cover C and A's Offcom fine.

there are 5 dots too many in this subject title.

i'm aware that may seem wildly pedantic, but it seems that people now just hold the full stop key for as long as they want the pause to last. it's never been any more than 3 full stops. ever. how hard is it?

but on topic - i think it should end with a tour of the UK, Karaoke nights and a week of bringing friends of the show and former team members back. and Jon Gaunt in the gunge tank.

What's never been more than full stops? There IS a punctuation mark which consists of three dots, but that particular punctuation mark isn't necessarily the one you want to use to indicate a pause, or a sentence left hanging, or a sense of anticipation.......

Points of ellipses are used to indicate text missing in a quote usually. Don't get your points of ellipses mixed up with using a series of dots to indicate a pause, its not the same thing.

I was referring to the use of ellipses to denote pregnant pauses, - I thought I was being pedantic enough as it was without giving a full blown lecture on points of ellipsis (which I've done before) :P

ah the battle of the points of ellipses 2011...

this is 'General', try to keep it on subject please, no useless banter which only means something to a small percentage of people.

I do believe that we were referencing something which had happened on the forum itself last year, but clearly you're right.

Is this more to your liking?

You're right, and the rules apparently allowed your pages and pages of crap, my objections were not carried - so I think our two or three posts will be fine thanks.

but seriously - good SPAG is the keystone to a successful society, and this thread title shouldn't be tolerated. it's a step away from total anarchy and flinging faeces at each other.

Well, it was all gift wrapped ready for me, it'd be rude not to.

I would love them to do something extra ordinary in the last shows. Then the last show could be from Leeds, taking him back to where he started with guests and in front of an audience. The audience could be people who have done something or been apart of the show. Bringing back, Lizzy, Melinda, Rachel, Carrie, Sam, Jocelin, Juliette, Jude and everyone else. It could turn into a "This is your life" type thing, i think that sounds cheesy.

I like the idea of having previous show members coming back but one a week.
For example Carrie and Tina doing the sport, Jose and Matt doing, whatever they do and so on.
For one of the last shows of the last week he could co-host breakfast with whoever replaces him. Not speak to them on the phone or have em in for half hour or so. A full show.
But I do also like the "Nobody cares" line Dave does. I can see it now.
Chris would do all the thankyous' and go on for 5/10/15 minutes then a 5 minute goodbye outro (i.e when the breakfast show started), everybody in the studio shouts bye into the mike then Dave yawns and says "Nobody cares". 16 seconds of silence then back to normal programming minus a legend.

Your post is missing 5 capitalisations for the beginning of each sentence. How hard is it?

Would be great if the very last R1 with Chris show could do something similar to Capitals summer/winter balls and fill out Wembley stadium or the O2 dome for the very last show. Think it would be a first where one stand alone show has done something like that. Think it would be a fitting end!
