firstly im a daily listener of the chris moyles show and always enjoy the laughs and banter, but of late im fed up of the following things that occur.

the start of newsbeat where it says LISTEN , WATCH , SHARE and then chris plays the start of a random CHER (pronounced SHER) song, is getting a bit lame now....

secondly, TWITTER chris always seems to be going on about how many followers they have, seems like a fixation with that?

and 3rd, chris always going on about his weight, we know hes had his ups and downs regarding his weight, but every day?? please.

rant over

still love the show :D

I wonder why Chris taking his weight loss seriously annoys you so much....

Actually I'm gonna agree that the constant gym discussions have started to get a bit repetitive recently.

* the gym! When I want some exercise, I go for a bike ride, not pay to go run on a treadmill in a sweaty building.

I prefer exercise that actually achieves something too - I do use the gym, but I prefer a couple of strenuous hours on the allotment, or even a game of squash or racketball, where at least you have the element of competition. The gym or the swimming pool can get really boring.

The fact it's the gym isn't really my point. Hearing about someone else's exercise routine just doesn't really do it for me. I have no problem with people doing whatever exercise they choose, I just don't see the point in harping on about it. Same with diets.

You're probably right, I know perfectly well that I am as boring as anything when I am on a diet. I suppose it just feels so all consuming for me, I can't think about or talk about anything else!I do wonder with Chris if it has got a bit like that, since he split up with Sophie its been work and the gym, and now he isn't currently filming a TV show, its just the radio show and the gym. I think Chris needs a shag. Which might be why he is so fixated on the gym/diet.... talk about your vicious circles!

I suppose it's all about personal interest. i have never been to the gym in my life so gym talk bores me, but the diet stuff I find interesting. I have lost count of the amount of times I have gained and lost 25/30lbs or so over the past 20 years, so I find the dieting stuff interesting.

I suppose if you want to gain muscle then going to the gym serves its purpose, but if you just want to get fit go outside and run. No way I would pay anyone to let me run on a running machine.

If you are overweight the daftest thing you can do is go outside and run. You'll wreck your ankles, knees and hips. If you're overweight, the thing to do is go outside and WALK.

Depends how overweight you are. If you are considerably overweight then you are correct, but if for example you are 20lbs or so overweight then weight alone wouldn't be any reason not to go out and run. Anyone who lives a sedentary lifestyle shouldn't just take it upon themselves to just go out and start running, for a number of health reasons.

In those circumstances they should seek advice by visiting the GP first. And a common cause of messing up your joints when running is not wearing the correct running shoes and not having a structured training plan in place. For anybody new to running they should probably start on a mixture of running/walking anyway.

Personally I wait until I am close to my ideal weight then I start running. I have also gone to a specialist running shop to get my running style analysed to make sure I am wearing the correct footwear.

I never maintain any of this, by the way. I always start it, get fit and then get bored and pack it in! I find losing weight and getting fit to be a piece of piss. Maintaining is far, far harder.

I think that's hilarious. First time I heard it it took me a second to realise why he played Cher, but then I appreciated its genius.

At the start of the free download, Chris always moans that they changed the name of it from 'podcast'. It was slightly funny the first few times, but it's just getting boring now. I think we all know now how he feels about the changing of the name from 'podcast' to 'free download'. He should be over it by now, it's not the end of the world.

Using the term to 'gem up' on something instead of 'gen up' really irritates me me every time I hear it! I think Aled started it off, and did/still does genuinely think that's the phrase. Now Chris has started using it too for some reason, perhaps because he thinks it's funny to imitate Aled getting it wrong. It's not too regular of an occurrance to be fair, but it I have heard it said a few times and each time it winds me right up!

whats reallly annoying or irritating me is that if you listen on a moment where there all screaming or celebrating or whooping.. that doesnt annoy me... what does irritate me is the high pitched scream or whoop from tina that always lasts and extra 2 seconds and it goes right through me.. its lie she competes to be heard and she chooses this moment to use it!!!

See, I haven't heard this, but if I had, it would have the same effect on me Em. In fact its annoying me anyway, just because you've told me about it!

Apologies for not leaving you in your blissful ignorance of this irritation, but I am glad to hear that this kind of thing annoys others as much as it does me!

I am quite frankly getting a bit tired of the fact that most of the opening links nowadays consists of how tired they are etc and how much sleep they got etc. Also I do find the gym stuff boring as hell and just don't pay attention whenever something like that comes up.

I am with you on that one. We all know they are tired, unless you go to bed in the middle of the evening you are bound to be tired getting up when they do, but Chris and Dave can go on about it a bit too much for me. I look forward to listening to the show so much, especially when I have an early start myself, that I just dont want to hear them talking as if being there is just about the last place they want to be.

Apart from Monday, when I felt underwhelmed by the return, it has been an excellent week of shows and no moaning about tiredness.

I don't know so much about Dave but realistically Chris doesn't get up any bloody earlier than a lot of us anyway. 5:30 is not unusually early to have to get up for loads of people, and he is often not up until well after that. Aled , now HE has an early start. And never moans about it.

I think Dave gets up at 04:00 or 04:30. I am in agreement with you regarding Chris. 05:30 isnt exceptionally early, but unless you go to bed early you are still likely to be pretty tired getting up at that time. The answer, of course, is to go to bed earlier, but as we all know, Chris doesn't do that.

Anyway, justifiable or not, I still wish they wouldnt go on about being tired.

Agree with Chris going on about the gym and his personally trainer nearly everyday that is an irritation.

The Cher song played with the news jingle I don't mind I like that, the crappy news jingle and the news and sport itself I find more irritating (but that's okay I go to my local BBC station better news/sport and proper weather)

The tired discussion on the opening link I don't mind, yes it can be a bit repetitive, but that discussion happens a lot when I get in to work, with people tired and not awake, especially myself I'm up at 6.30 but I'm don't fell really awake until after 9am personally!

Sat and today are up
