Wall-E and Bee Movie are both brilliant, but I take the point about kids interest.

I liked The One Ronnie - the first sketch, as I discussed with Zoot was brilliant and the last one was very Two Ronnies-esque. Like someone else said, Ronnie Barker was a proper, bona fide legend and can't be replaced, but I don't think they really tried to. I also thought the Royle Family was hilarious and missed the first episode of Come Fly with Me, but loved the second one (I didn't like Little Britain at all).

I watched the newest Star Trek movie yesterday - I expected to loathe it but I thought it was brilliant.

Yeah, I was pleasantly pleased when I saw that for first time (new Star Treck), wasn't expecting much and t'was better than i'd hoped. And ditto comments on Come Fly With me, not the biggest Little Britain fan but this series is much better. Also loved the xmas Top Gear. Mucho funski.

Our xmas TV was mainly based around dvd's, few new films and comedy performances to get through. John Bishops dvd is good....

Actually there have been quite a few things I've enjoyed this year. But that may just been cos I've had more time off to watch TV. The Victoria Wood and Les Dawson specials on BBC2 were both great, there was the Celeb Juice special, Bleak Old Shop Of Stuff with Robert Webb and Stephen Fry, the two Father Ted docs on C4 and the Big Fat Quiz of the Year (which is always on obviously).

She is my favourite comedy writer of all time, I love her. The special that was on - was that not old? It kind of looked old to me. Brilliant, and I hadn't seen it before, but it had an air of a few years back I thought..?

The films have been poor, particularly disappointed that there were no Pratchett films on. Its not Christmas without The Hogfather, and last year there were three or four Sky TV Pratchett movies on, which are all excellent.

As a massive Pratchett fan, I couldn't stand Hogfather. I only got as far as Teatime appearing, then I gave up. Marc Warren ruined it for me, he apparently based his performance on Johnny Depp's performance in Willy Wonka...you know, the performance Depp based on Michael Jackson?

Really? I get the Depp/Michael Jackson thing, but not the rest of it. See I am not a huge Pratchett fan, I don't like the books, I think he writes great one liners but I get bored with his characterisations and storylines in print. However I think they work brilliantly as films and Going Postal in particular is a real favourite of mine.

I'm another Pratchett fan . At the minute i've nearly finished 'Snuff', which i got from my wee girl for Xmas. It nots so bad, which is a relief as i thought 'Unseen Academicals' was shite, though 'I Shall Wear Midnight' was fantastic, but then i like all the Tiffany Aching books.
I didn't mind the Hogfather movie though i agree that Marc Warren tried his best to spoil it completely.
The 'Colour of Magic' was destroyed by one of the worst casting decisions in the history of television when they cast a 70 year old ham as a what was supposed to be a 34 year old wizard.
Going Postal was very good .

It is definatley a repeat. I saw a few years back but I watched again if only for the Acorn Antiques scetches.

Last night's Morecambe and Wise evening on BBC 2 was unequivocally the best night's TV of the holiday period. The 1976 Christmas Special was brilliant, the Victoria Wood drama was unbelievably amazing, with magical casting, writing and performances and the documentary that followed was also superb. I really enjoyed that. Also we recorded Bee Movie and Wall-E in the afternoon so all in all a great day for the BBC yesterday.

I just started to watch Wall-E and I was really disappointed with it and gave up after half an hour and I hate to say that about a Pixar movie as I have loved every one.

Mate, if you\ve only seen the first half hour of Wall-E, then you've not seen it at all. Watch it again and this time have a little patience with it, its a fantastic film.

I need to watch these and so admittedly haven't, but if you are referring to Sir David Jason as a 'ham', you, sir, should be strung up by your bollocks for extremely poor taste. I'll have you know he is one of the finest and most versatile actors this country has ever produced.

Even if he has appeared in some poor stuff, even if you personally don't like him, its inaccurate to refer to David Jason as a "ham", which is a term used primarily for over-emoting theatre specialists.

I haven't watched any Christmas TV, but I was planning on watching the Top Gear India special on the iPlayer but I've heard some mixed reviews.
