Does it really have a chance?

Either way, I wouldn't mind helping out, but there seems confusion over which track to buy (why it matters I do not know)

Plus I don't want to purchase via iTunes either, HMV / Amazon would be preferred

Anyone know a link that's

a) cheap
b) will help the track get to number 1

Moneys on it been number 34!

Think the chart position will be undermined with spelling of Dominick and the multiple versions of it available!

There have been several tweets today saying that it's at no2 or 3 in the itunes chart, and I guess the majority of people who download singles probably do so via itunes, so it just has to maintain that high position through the week. They need to keep pushing it on the show, and figure out a way to get people all downloading the same version apart from saying "its the 59p one". Not that I'm doing it I hasten to add, I haven't bought a single in years and I'm not about to start now!

Yeah, I've just looked it up on http://www.theofficialcharts.com/chart-rules/ and it says:

Sales of different formats and variants of a single are combined for chart purposes where each format contains the featured song(s), and not the featured song(s) from any other chart single. An unlimited number of digital variants of the featured song may be combined for a chart position.

I'd love to offer my support to the cause.... But, I won't touch anything Apple related and can't be arsed with Amazon so I shall be supporting morally only.

Best of Bwittish though.

You know, i'm not buying this Dominic the so called Christmas donkey's story. So apparently the country & mountain lanes of Italy are too difficult for Santa's reindeer to navigate , now pardon me if i'm wrong, but last i looked Santa & his team traversed the globe airbourne, as can be confirmed by the US military here. So unless the Mafia or Comorra have some sort of illegal mammal powered aerial freight tax that see's them shooting at any flying cargo hauling deer, then i reckon Dominic is just selling us a pile of donkey shit, in what is clearly an elaborate protection racket. A bit like security on some night clubs.
Well he can go and spingere in su il culo.

At number 2 in both Amazon + iTunes charts.

Doesn't have a hope of beating the Miltary Wives Songs (which is bilge btw) but it should chart ahead of the ruined version of Canonball at least!

Dominic just put this up:

domisatwit Dominic Byrne
Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha !!!!! Dominick the Donkey is at Number 3 .... Amazing!!

Jeez, the power of the Chris Moyles show still holds strong I guess. I am not a fan of the song but heck, would be all in favour of it beating X-Factor and other crap released this Sunday in the charts.

In an age where songs are released every week, artists come and go freely and 'international' (American) artists tend to dominate the charts - I don't care who gets the Christmas number one. If it's a Christmas Song then that would be lovely - but X Factor didn't kill Christmas Songs, the declining standard of writing killed the Christmas number one.

Without that bloody Military wives song I am sure this could have got to number 1. I think Radio 1 feel bad about maybe beating a charity song thus are not promoting it as much as they could do.

May be in the minority but I like Wherever You Are. I know some of you conisder it as bilge but rather have that than some of the crap that is being released this week. TOWIE's Last Christmas is hilariously bad for example.

More that the BBC overly promoting anything (commercial) would be politically dodgy nowadays. They have been careful in their wording in order to not get into too much trouble.

I agree I like Wherever You Are, and very happy for it to be No1 which it will be nothing going to beat it, nothing against Dominick The Donkey, but for me its the best of this years offerings. Oh no, as I type Chris is actually now playing TOWIE's Last Christmas which is utter bilge, why are they playing this utter crap its an insult, had to switch off!

This was discussed on air the other morning, but I forget....

My mind is too focused on who the home secretary is.
