I'd love to try skiing, but I know almost certainly I'd break both legs, I'm so uncoordinated... we have an indoor real ski slope here though.

I've not been these last two seasons and last time I went I did injure myself badly (my fault for being a twonk and trying to break sound barrier on a Snowboard)... Can't let that be the end of it all. Must get back out there!

But you do have a point, Skiing in paticular does attract some numpties. Or, Ra-Ra's as we call 'em. (People who can manage to hold an entire conversation only ever using the word Raaaa!)

I'd say snowboarders are the posers, skiing isn't too bad.

They are as bad as each other but in different ways. Snowboarders are just as up themselves as skiers but they pretend to be otherwise. They are only interested in the labels on their clothes and their hair products though.

Not sure the two interests would amalgamate with great results, but yes, that is something else wot I do to scratch the speed itch.

They each have good points; My snowboard won't do 160mph, but equally, I can't ride my motorbike after 4 pints at lunch....

Ha! Yeah... The bike does have few specific advantages.

The bike doesn't mind me looking at pictures of other bikes, or browsing the internet for films of other bikes doing naughty things.

The bike doesn't mind if I climb on my mates one for a quick ride, nor does it let out a little fart when I get off...
