I have to admit I never really think about that sort of thing but it does open your eyes as to how important choosing music for any occasion can be.

It is interesting - and to be fair to them, Radio 1's reaction to September 11th was spot on.

Also interesting remembering the other news stories of the day - Josie Russell, what a courageous girl she was.

I too would be interested if anyone has any audio of Chris from 9/11. I vaguely remember hearing it but would be interesting to hear it back now.

I did start recording that show, however stopped after the first 45 minutes & decided to tape over the show with the last ever Saturday Show, mainly as I thought it would be too morbid to keep especially as to what was unfolding at the time the show was on air. In hindsight I do wish I had kept the show for historical reasons but then again back then keeping a Moyles show on tape on that day was the last thing on my mind.

Who was producer at the time? If we really want it then I'm sure we can track down a contact for them somewhere and see if they have kept it.

The indication is that if Aled was on the show then a copy was kept, however if he wasn't the BA or Producer at the time then God only knows, I believe (although I may be wrong) that he hinted that a lot of the earlier shows have since been wiped and that our shows in the archive on here may be the only existing copy of some or all shows pre the breakfast show. Aled may be able to confirm either way
