Do you have your appearance on Supermarket Sweep saved anywhere, If so can I have it please?

Also, with the tedious link, is Dave told what track to choose or does he just simply choose the first song that comes into his head on that morning or is there more to it?

The patterns that emerge with the tracks seem to suggest that Dave just plays his favourite songs - mostly early/mid 90s dance and indie - on a loop, sometimes with only a few months between them, sometimes with a year or so. (Once he played the same Feeder track twice within ten weeks.) But I don't think he keeps any record of his choices - in fact I think I'm the only one keeping a record! I'd be interested to know if I'm wrong, tho.

Hi Aled. Some numbers for you. Friday was:

The 1656th breakfast show with Chris.
The 1689th breakfast show with some members of the team present alongside Sara, Vernon or, if anyone remembers, JK and Joel! This is going on an assumption that Scott hasn't done a show with the Moyles team, only his own, if anyone knows better, please let me know.

I'm now very certain of these figures. At very worst case, I'm only 1 or 2 out. :)

It was also (probably) 1688th show Chris has been involved with since the start of the breakfast show. This figure is a bit more tentative than the others. It includes the marathon shows, cover for Jo Whiley shows, weekend specials, Christmas day shows and the two World Cup commentaries. Highlights/best-of shows aren't counted, only shows with new material and lasting for over half of the timeslot count. So if the team covered for Jo Whiley for 45 mins of a 3 hour show, it's not counted. I'm also not sure that I have all of the shows Chris has been involved in, there might be one of two old ones that have slipped through the net.

Finally, as long as the show progresses on it's normal pattern, you're on course to hit the #2000 marks in 2013. Probably sometime in February for all breakfast shows some of the team and probably in May for breakfast shows with Chris on duty.

Been wondering the same, I usually download it before I go for my train in the morning.

Only reason I can think of is that maybe Ant who usually does them is on holiday(?) And someone else has had to try and put them together instead.

It usually goes online between 01:30 and 02:00 a.m. But for the past couple of weeks it's been going on at about 2 in the afternoon. The first week I thought it may have been a technical issue but two weeks in a row is odd. I'm not complaining as they still go up. I'm just curious.

You may be right though. Ant may well be on holiday.

Hi Aled, this isn't a question, more of a suggestion for Chris. Just a minute ago Chris was talking about how he's having some trouble cross-posting things across multiple services like Twitter, Facebook and YouTube. Well, he could use something like Posterous. Posterous will let you post across multiple services a little more easily, and they'll let you email stuff to post as well. He might find it useful.

There are tons of them, Tweetdeck will do it as well.

I just feel the show is better without all that (or less of it), Thursday's show (I think), had no guest and little corporate stuff and it was great. I love the show, don't get me wrong but the corporate stuff gets a bit tiresome.

Also, has a decision been made about the 6:30 link to include actual stuff like the sleep app and the wake up calls? I don't mind it but the sleep app took up that link for virtually an entire week. That link is fine when the team discuss what they did yesterday and what they had for dinner etc, it's mundane but that's the appeal of it. I get that you can't do that every day but I've noticed a shift away from random chat or is it just me?

There has NEVER been any random chat.

Chloe prints off a list of available songs in the Radio 1 music store and Dave goes through it selecting the ones he likes and together they put them into an order.

Is there going to be any sort of tour this year?

Afraid not. Management have laid on a few tours for Radio 1 and 1Xtra so we've been asked to hold off with any of ours.

Chris gets 8 weeks a year. 2 weeks in March (after the marathon show), he then waited 5 months to take the next 2 weeks off (in Aug), he has the last 2 weeks over Christmas so we had to fit a quick 2 weeks in the middle so Chris went for October.
