The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Sorry that my first post on this forum should be a negative one but I can't see anyone else pointing it up. Chris Moyles was bang out of order saying 'Shut your face" 'I'll tell you when to come in' etc. to Tina this morning. She was obv. just going along with a gag - Moyles didn't tell Dom to shut his face. Big baby.

I haven't heard it but well done for wasting your time setting up an account. You won't get a mention on air and if you don't like what you're hearing then you don't have to listen. I'm sure Tina can express her own disapproval to Chris if any offence was caused. She doesn't need you to say it for her.

Seriously?

How long have you listened to the show? Chris is like that from time to time, it's not always the same person on the receiving end of such comments. And it's never really meant as it sounded.

(Not listened to this yet, just finished listening to Wed's show)

It was a joke! And he was well within his rights to tell Tina to shut her face...i wish he would do it more often

Chris does this from time to time to various members of the team so you might think it was offensive if it was the first time you heard somethiung like this but I've heard it enough times to tell that he wasn't being serious and was a grumpy joke!

Aled & the curry seemed real though, or real enough for Aled to get upset ,wasn't it?.

But it is a bit of an act, maybe an act with a slight barb in it, but still an act.

I don't think I've heard all that one to be honest and think I just heard the aftermath of it the following day. Anyone know what show it was from (I believe it was this year sometime).

It was three or four years ago , i think.
It was very funny (sorry Aled) yet very uncomfortable listening at the same time.

with the whole curry thing... is it possible that chris knows that his rants and stuff either a) gets attention b) is good material for the show .. and they pre planned everything and stuff ? I'm listening to the clip for the first time and it just sounds a bit odd for him to go off on one like that on something so small in the grand scheme of things.

its still funny though, either way.

You obviously never listened to the Afternoon Show then, Melinda & Will were often on the end of Chris' verbal abuse back then.

I'm surprised the word the OP has used to describe Chris in the title of this thread made it through the swear filter actually. It's a very harsh term. God knows I have enough trouble with the filter whenever I'm doing the Tedious and Dave mentions the surname of the lead singer of Pulp.

I thought Chris's tirade was ascerbic, but Tina shrugged it off well and 15 mins later it was all jolly again.
Unless you can see the facial expression it's very hard to judge if it is a nasty dig, or a fun jibe.

If you're gonna complain about something in the show can you at least give a rough indication of when it happened so we can check it out?
I try my best to listen to the whole show every day but occasionally miss stuff getting in and out of the car or shower etc.

You know, for that reason this post reminded me of a certain thread about Mr Fincham ("he's a sexist, the way he once spoke to Tina was disgusting"). The OP of that thread could not provide evidence to back up his claim when questioned further. Not that I'm saying this is the same person, but still.

I do, but I keep mine turned on so I can see if someone has got round it and for what reason (like the problem we had with the name of region of the UK in which Carlisle is during the Big Weekend). I wouldn't have known that this thread title didn't fall foul of it if I had it turned off anyway.

Or even a north Lincolnshire steel town.
By the way how do you turn it off? I'm a big lad now & have been known to say 'flip' & 'ruddy' & even an occasional 'sod it' should the event arise.

Thanks for putting that up, needed a laugh today. The Curry rant re-visited was just as funny :)

I'd forgotten how pants pishingly funny that was.

"He limps in here like Gollum..."
" Ack...tscshh....urgh.....tchaah!"
"Stick it in yer face!"

& the now infamous,"Get in HERE!"

And I liked the way Rachel started to have enough near the end.
