Never really found Lee Evans that funny to be honest. I can see why other people do but his style's not really for me.
Having said that, he could be funny on the show with Chris.

He's a real hit with the yoof too, you're never far from knowing someone who has one of his DVDs.

This is why it's gonna be a great interview, will he be more like a character? (Keith Lemon) or will he be himself in the studio? Can't wait.

I cannot stand Lee Evans. In fact the only comedian I can think of who I find as unfunny is Lee Nelson (another Lee - coincidence?...) I almost think it'll be worse than Dappy. But I do think it's good that they're getting new guests in rather than trotting out Jimmy Carr and JLC for the umpteenth time, even if they are people I don't like!

I would have Jimmy Carr on every day, he's never failed to be funny on the show. I don't mind JLC either.

I think Lee Evans is one of the funniest comedians about but I do agree that Lee Nelson is a complete tit. Not funny in the slightest.

I don't dislike Lee Evans but his humour doesn't really do it for me, but i did see him in a film about a decade ago called Funny Bones where he played a psychotic clown at the Blackpool Tower circus & he was excellent. Though i may have dreamt it as i have never met anyone else who has ever heard of, never mind seen, that film.

I do think he has the potential to be an outstanding guest though.

Lee Nelson i watched once for about 10 minutes. It was as much fun as gargling with pish. And Ali G's pish at that.

See 'what's making me smile' thread.

Bas - I've heard of that film but never seen it.

I've been a fan of Lee Evans since about 1994 I think, can't wait for next Thursday!!

I'd make the effort, it was pretty good & Evans was genuinely scary in parts, even though it was a comedy of sorts.

I've seen and own Funny bones. It has Oliver Reed in it aswell.
It's about a failed American comic who comes to England to steal ideas only to find out about his family past. It is funnier than I describe it but it does have a dark undertone aswell. Well worth seeing, if only once.

Lee Evans is a talented actor and the first time I watched one of his standup DVDs I really enjoyed it. However, I think once you've seen him (standup that it), you've seen him. Even with different material, its the same show somehow - I think in part that's because you're laughing at him rather than the material. And I do think he is trying to be Norman Wisdom, which I'm not entirely happy about. And I find his signature sweatiness quite revolting.

I'm quite happy to join in the Lee Evans hate. Completely unfunny. Also in what seems to be a first for this forum, I hate Peter Kay too.

I like Lee Evans, but I do understand why others wouldn't. I was watching that BBC series called something like 'My Favourite Joke', where lots of comedians told what their favourite comedians or jokes were - I was somewhat surprised that Lee Evans was on, but totally unsurprised that it was for his excellent dance routine for Bohemian Rhapsody. Apparently at one time it was well-known amongst comedians that if you were on the same bill as Lee Evans, you'd try and get on before him because it was practically impossible to get an audience back after he had done that dance routine.

I cant say that I am a fan of Lee Evans. I am a bit surprised he is going to be a guest on the show, but I will give him a chance. Moyles is on form at the moment so I am sure he will make it an entertaining listen.

My brother who lives in Australia loves Lee Evans and I believe he went to see him one time. He isn't for me really and I only remember him as Norm in There's Something About Mary. I've seen clips of his stand-up shows but never sat down and watched an entire show but the guy is sweating buckets half the time because of the ridiculous routines he does on stage is another thing I take away from him.

It's good to see different people on though and like Example and David Guetta before, this could be a surprising entertaining interview since I wouldn't have expected that from the former two. Better than the dullfest that is Eddie Izzard (apologies to his fans on here but he is dull on the show).

Oh well that's another hour during which I'll be turning over to either Radio 3 or 4. It's getting towards that time of the year when there will be an endless stream of celebs on with things to plug in the run up to Christmas, not my cup of tea but completely understand their value to the show.

Can't stand James Corden, in fact, I 'hate' him as a guest but I'm sure he's a nice person
