The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

I have been listening to Nick grimshaw sitting in for Scott Mills this week and I must say I am very impressed with him.I dont get to hear him much at 10pm .He comes across as funny, easygoing and just a very friendly voice on the radio.I hope he is promoted to his own daytime show on radio One very soon.He certainly deserves it.In fact I think he could be Chris's replacement on breakfast when he retires. What do you all think?

No thanks, my 'listener' contract runs til 2014, theres no new radio chapter I have planned. I hope he does a good job for't next batch of young'uns, if you say he will.

I also like Grimmy , but I see him as a potential successor to Mills 4pm slot . I get the feeling Greg is being groomed to take over from Chris eventually , either way the future of Radio 1 is looking good ! as long as that Jameely jamil or whatever her name doesnt get a show , cant stand her on T4 (more annoying than Cotton )

There's a rumour Greg is a bit 'green' for the flagship show, according to bosses - whatever that means. Unlike Grimmy I sometimes hear him and I just can't see him as anything more than student radio, he's perfect for that timeslot really.

I've changed my opinion in both Greg and Nick. I couldn't stand Nick Grimshaw when he first started, I couldn't listen to him at all, but now he's really grown on me. And I loved Greg on early breakfast, but since he's gone to afternoons I've gone right off him. I think Nick would be a decent replacement personally when the time comes...

I don't hear the afternoon show very often, but I agree its nowhere near as good as when he did early breakfast. But then in many ways I think early breakfast provided some of my favourite Moyles. There's something about that timeslot that makes for a really natural, honest show and whoever is presenting it always seems relaxed and "free". I even used to really like Mills when he did early breakfast.

I really like Grimmy. Not sure if he's breakfast show material but I don't think he comes across as 'Camden-cool' at all. I think he would make a great replacement for Scott.

I agree. After Chris and the team leave, I'm off too.

Yep me too, when Chris is off bye bye Radio 1. Cant stand Grimshaw find him an annoying t*at. Thank god Peter Kay is the guest with Chris Evans, takes care of listening to Grimshaw and the predictable awful Golden Hour (I think the year will 1994) Fridays never been the best day for the show I feel.
