Jesus what is the big issue with them playing some songs, ok most of the playlist is crap these days but would you lot really give a toss if they started playing decent 70's, 80's & 90's tunes in those links.

I mean honestly they played music in between the talking on the Early Bit, Afternoon Show, Saturday Show & a large portion of the Breakfast Shows history. Yes I do like the talking more than the music on the show much more these days but why do people get a "what the *" attitude because they play a couple of songs.

Also, Ian's shows are still always about 2 hours 20 minutes long which shows that there is just over an hour of music and news in an average show which I don't think is necessarily that bad.

I'm "chillaxed" (as the yoot of today say) , just don't get why this has become such a complaint, they're lucky they don't get told to play more music, sadly more stations insist on the crap playlists to be played.

When I started listening from July 09, they usually had the 2 songs before the 7 o clock news so I knew they used to play music during the opening link but it barely happens these days since they usually talk up to 7 or past 7 and therefore people will wonder what is up.

I haven't listened to Wednesday's show yet but will be tonight as well as the rest of Thursday's since I only caught the first hour odd of it at work and having my breakfast before hitting the hay.

And yes the majority of the playlist is crap and I would rather have them play music from all decades rather than nothing past 1990.

I;d have done the same thing if I was your boss (provided the appropriate disciplinary history was in place), and I'd have pointed out that blaming someone else for your inability to get your arse out of bed in the morning is a pathetic excuse and an immature way to approach anything.
