The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

I did this morning and I actually did quite enjoy most of the show. But if we're gonna pick (and I am), my main issues were:

1. too much music (the obvious!)

2. Dave seemed quite happy to just let Sara make mistakes...like with Celeb Raspberry he could easily have said to her "we need to do clues", either on or off air, but instead he let her carry on and play a record, while every regular listener was probably shouting at the radio "what about clues?" (Or maybe that was just me ;) )

3. What was with the 15min Inbetweeners interview? Were they only allowed to be on-air for such a short time or did they finish it so quickly cos Sara couldn't cope? That seems unlikely, but if that had been Chris, I'm sure he'd have got them on earlier or something. I don't believe he would have just wrapped the interview up with no mention of how ridiculously short it had been.

4. The chemistry between them just isn't the same as with Chris. At times it seems a bit forced. But hey ho.

Maybe the Inbetweeners didn't have time to stay later; they were on 5 Live earlier today and will be on Absolute Radio later on this evening, and probably more stations that I don't listen to in between (no pun intended).

I listened to a little bit of Cox & Vitty, but repeats of Wipeout with the man who excels, Paul Daniels on Challenge proved too hard to resist so I ended up watching them instead.

The first half hour was a teeny bit contrived today I thought. Definitely an element of preparation, if not exactly scripting...but I think they'll relax soon enough, and it was sooooo much better than Mills. I love Coxy.

Sara Cox is brillaint. Her Sunday show is my second favourite radio show behind Moyles.

Today's show was pretty good, but Dave is a bit like like a nervy schoolboy when around Sara. Sara sounded fine but Dave tried a bit too hard. Dave is integral to the Moyles show and whilst I thought he was good today, I would've preferred Sara to be on her own this week.

All that being said, this is still an excellent replacement for Chris. Radio 1 please give Sara Cox a weekday show!

Actually neither of them displayed any knowledge of the tv show really, they mainly asked bog-standard interview questions about the film. I'm sure Dave has watched it in the past, I listened to a 2010 show last week in which he and Chris were saying "friend!" repeatedly.

I've been listening, but I love Cox anyway. The chemistry* between the two of them is nice too.

* By chemistry I mean that Dave has fancied Sara for years.

Really not enjoying this at all - there's plenty of random chat which is an improvement on Mills but a lot of it is boring, forced or unfunny.

The best way I can explain it is that when Chris and the whole team are on I feel included in the show, like it's one big conversation that I'm part of. However this morning listening to the show I felt excluded, so much whispering, giggling and in-jokes.

It's strange because I enjoyed Cox when she filled in before, in a strange way the fact she is such good mates with Freya changes the dynamic as well, as nice as it is to hear Freya.

Just goes to show, yet again, that Moyles is a master at what he does and makes it look easy.

Chris, is that you........?! :D

Yeah, I listened to about 2.5 hours of Monday's show, but am about ready to throw the towel in.

When Sara came in and did the show with virtually the whole team, it was Radio Gold, but this isn't really working for me.

There's just way too much music. It's almost like they're treating the show like it's on a music radio station! That's not The Chris Moyles Show.

The banter between Sara and Dave is OK, but Dave is always on the edge of fawning. I can't blame him, Sara's lovely, but it doesn't make for good radio.

I'll tell you what also doesn't make for good radio -- interviewing the 4 Inbetweeners and frequently referring to the person being spoken to as "you". Who are you talking to?! I recognised the voices some of the time, but for the rest, I didn't know who was speaking. Bad radio.
And, yes, the interview was not of the calibre we expect. A bit too generic. From TCMS, we expect some flirting, some cheeky questions, * all information about the movie, and more about other stuff going on with the actors, random olive and/or cheese questions etc.

I think I'll listen to the rest of Monday, then try Tuesday's opening link and then decide on whether to bail.

I don't understand how someone who claims to be such a big fan of the show doesn't know stuff like where to play a bed or when a certain component of a feature should come in. Or maybe it's just that Chris is so slick at working the desk that it shows anyone else up...

Anyone can listen to a show, it's much harder to actually make it. I can sing along to the lyrics of CPC, but I have trouble remembering them out of context.

You just have to listen to that train wreck when Pete Tong (master of the decks) tried to do the show. Pressing the buttons is much harder than it looks, particular given that there are hundreds and they have a delay lag. Sometimes, Aled has to even help Chris out.

Sara isn't Chris, but she does probably the best of a bad job at "replacing" him.
Maybe that's why Scott does his own show when covering and doesn't try to do Chris' show?

That is definitely the case, although I'm with you, it should be a bit better. Still, like I said, far better Sara than Mills.
