Just checked out next weeks listings , and as theres no more Chatty Man CMQN has been bumped to a great 9.30pm slot next week. Finally it seems Chris' TV career is taking off . Prime time slot? Who'dve thunk it.

Mickey Flanagan isn't that funny. He can be quite funny sometimes but he's not great.

He is, at best, chucklesome. He's all over the place at the moment, one of the hottest names in stand up (allegedly) and I can honestly say he has never made me laugh properly. You know one of those spontaneous laughs that all good comedians should be able to get out of you at least once in a set or an appearance. Just don't get the appeal.

I remember him from the charity gala, he was alright but for me it was the bloke whose name I'm not sure of who just had it in the bag when he launched on stage with 'I f****** HATE kids' and proceeded to rant about a time he went to buy a vaccum cleaner, very funny indeed. Jason Byrne I think it was.

Jason Byrne is one of those guys that will make you proper laugh. Manic, hyper, fractured comedy but all comes together. He done a bit on a BBC late night comedy slot (tried google & youtube, nae joy) where he comes on with basically a pole strapped to his back with tights and shoes hanging off it and proceeds to do the best riverdance skit i've ever seen. Proper boogers out nose funny. Love the guy. Love my stand up. Don't love Mickey Flanagan

I'm glad it's gonna be on earlier. Last night I ended up sky+ing it cos I was falling asleep by 10.30. (Yep, in bed by 10 on a Friday night - rock n' roll!)

Yeah, the guests weren't bad either... Great news for Chris and the show though; hopefully next series later this year will be in prime time?

Last time we had him on that was how our head of programming referred to him in the new season meeting: "Micky Flanagan - he's not funny. And on page 27..."

Aye, whits wae aw this turning it back around to the original topic. Bunch of tadger tuggers up to no good that's what that is (sad attempt at typing like billy connolly). Still funnier than Mickey Flanagan though. Cause he's jobby...

Dara O'Briain's still my favourite stand up. Also Dylan Moran is very funny if you can decipher his slurred speech.

So glad it has been moved to an earlier slot as I thought it was a bit late :(

Really didn't think this show would last but so glad it has. Well done Chris :)

Anyone wanna take bets on what day his show will fall next time a new series rolls around?

As far as stand-up comedians, I love Jimmy Carr since I've been to two of his shows and have a few of his DVDs. Sure, it's usually the same kind of stuff he talks about etc but for me, the best part is the banter with the audience since some of it can be so random, it just makes me laugh.

I like Dara O'Briain but that is mainly from Mock the Week since I never actually seen any of his stand-up stuff bar a Live at the Apollo episode where he did his video games bit etc. which was great. I loved Frankie Boyle on MTW mainly for the final round Scenes We'd Like to See but outside of that show, not that great.

Anyone know what type of ratings this show gets?

As for the show, i watch it, think its funny in parts but Chris just isn't the same on tv, find him much wittier on the radio. Still good though.
